Okay it sounds like user error on my part then.. I'll lower the machine and look into getting a hose cozy..

Thanks everyone..

Re: how long does it take to really feel better?

I'd love to hear the answer to this as well.. I'm very much in the same boat.. It's odd but prior to my cpap I'd sleep the whole night and wake up completely tired and unrested.. Now I can't seem to sleep the whole night at all but rather sleep in 1 to 2 hour blocks, but wake up well rested.. Last n...

"My cpap is trying to drown me!" heh

You'll all find this amusing most likely.. My wife sure did.. (She laughed her ass off..) I recently switched my primary mask from the mirage full faced mask to the breeze nasal pillow mask.. I did this because I simply couldn't get comfortable with the mirage on my face .. I had to tighten it way t...

Re: Mirage Ultra Full faced Mask making an aweful wracket!

I'm about to give up on mine.. I simply can't use this mask if its going to continue to whistle..

I'm having a very hard time getting used to the cpap as it is, a mask that makes noise like this isn't going to cut it..

Re: Mirage Ultra Full faced Mask making an aweful wracket!

The center rubber is seated correctly.. I have never taken it out, and it whistles the loudest under pressure, so at 4 or 5 its nothing but when it ramps up to 10 or so it makes a constant whistle..

Mirage Ultra Full faced Mask making an aweful wracket!

I have the mirage ultra full faced mask, and it whistles! Constantly.. It's coming from the center vents, a high pitched "dog whistle" like sound and its absolutely driving me insane.. It's like a cup of coffee at night I swear.. It wakes me up as soon as it starts happening.. So.. I don't want to c...

Re: Lost 75 pounds- Apnea not better, Mask doesnt fit

Hey but on the plus side you lost 75 pounds.. that's great! (assuming it was there to lose and was lost in a healthy fashion I guess.. Pretty sure I'd have to amputate a couple legs to get results like that.. ) And I agree that weight can play a factor but not be the culprit.. In one of my sleep lab...

Re: "Sleep number" Bed?

I have used a sleep number bed for years now.. Since I'm just now starting to use a cpap I can't talk to its effectiveness one way or the other, but I can say that the bed itself is great. The ability to dial in the mattress to your own firmness levels makes all the difference in the world.. especia...

Re: Dreading bedtime on night 4 of CPAP

So I am new to the whole CPAP thing and your story sounds exactly like mine.. I have odd dreams and am having a hard time adjusting.. I know the machine is a good thing for me to get used to and that I need it for long term health reasons, but it's not been a smooth transition.. the adjusting is tak...

AutoSet™ II Question

Howdy gang! Is there a way (or even a point) to change the initial pressure of the AutoSet from 4.0 to something a tad higher? I'm an 11 and my machine happily ramps up to that after a while, but the initial setting of 4 seems and "feels" low.. I feel like I'm having to pull the air in instead of wh...
