CPAP Pillow
Does anybody use a CPAP pillow? If you do you find them useful or comfortable? I don't like a high pillow and often sleep on my stomach. I haven't been able to do that since I started CPAP and even side sleeping can be a pain when my mask slips.

Re: Dizziness???
Julie and pdean, thanks for the replies. No, I haven't had my BP checked but I am due for a physical right away. I was sick with a stomach virus for about a week and this has just started since then. I hope it's not another darn virus going around! Since my GS started daycare it seems to be one thin...

I've been using the CPAP for about 3 months now and it's working great but in the last few days I've been waking up and feeling very dizzy and off balance. Is dizziness normal with CPAP? How do I fiz it?

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm assuming a software program is needed.

Re: Anyone had problems with clenching their teeth?
robysue is right. A properly made TMJ mouth appliance won't change the set of your jaw. It also won't make you more prone to opening your mouth during sleep. In fact I've found the opposite. Your dentist will make sure it fits properly and make fine adjustments so that your teeth fit snuggly. Also, ...

Re: FFM Suggestions
Both pof these are in a very good price range. The hybrid mask is one of the ones that I was looking at. I'm glad to hear that you have good luck with it, that's a positive.

Re: Anyone had problems with clenching their teeth?
I've worn a TMJ splint for about 20 years now. Mine is the harder one that needs to be softened in hot water before inserting. I do a pretty good job of chewing them up and grinding them down. Each one lasts me about 4-5 years. By then I REALLY need a new one. I don't have a problem with using a nas...

Re: Nights Sweats and Tired
I would suggest there are other things going on. Have you had your thyroid checked? Do you eat properly and get lots of water and vitamins?

FFM Suggestions
I'm looking for a back up FFM to use in case of illness or if my other one breaks down. For those of you (women especially) with smaller faces what is your favorite FFM?

Re: experienced the "VACUUM EFFECT"?
I take a zantac and a claratin every night before bed. Both of these are a preventive against the aspiration you experince and against post nasal drip and stuffed up sinuses. I've done this for several years and it really helps. I've also had nights prior to CPAP where I've had to sleep propped up b...

Re: Let's talk about CPAP noise.
If you are a person that needs a very quiet room to fall asleep then I would say get the quietest machine you can find. I am a new user as well and find that once I get that mask on and start the machine I seem to fixate on the noise and it lulls me to sleep. I find it a lot easier to drop off to sl...

Re: Back-up mask
Thanks for all the replies! I am new to this and the only mask I have is the one shown below which I find works well. I had tried a loaner which was a F&P Zest but I found it just would not stay put and I constantly had to adjust it. I have a deviated septum as well and the mask would slip enough to...
