Re: silicone earplugs+cause of nose plugging?
Thanks. Had sleep Dr. appt., she says has NOTHING to do with congestion. I am super touchy over everything realted to this pursuit. Have not given up one single time since Sept. I still am wide awake adjusting things every night typically 4-6 times. I'm tired. The best sleep is the naps I have been ...

silicone earplugs+cause of nose plugging?
Hi, I have used Mac's earplugs for over 20 years. Use them stuffed down the ear canal as far as they will go. When they begin to loosen the slightest bit ,pull them out--dry out inner ear and push them in again. I know this isn't the way they are to be used. Could it be,due to my great plugging tech...

Re: Ready to get a hammer!
Hi, I am new to this CPAP life. Every night is a new adjustment in some way. Is there a possibility your machine is somehow defective ? Maybe it worked at first, then developed a problem? A HUGE breakthrough for me was using OTC nasal decongestant. I was hugely plugged up- especially, when I bent ov...

An instantly viewable water guage......something to tell me how much water is available in the darn tank . So I don't have to stand on my head to view the tank. Or pick the whole mess up to look in the resevoir. Then ultimately have to guess if I Have enough to make it through the night . At the ver...

Sleep Comfort Care Pad-Large
What stops one from sisscor trimming to customize the fit? For anyone who has tried or used this item, does a leak start at the cheek level? (Where the device stops covering your tissue?) I owe an update on my personal progress- as of yesterday I have had stunning success. A personal thanks to all w...

Re: I need LOTS of humid air
Live near Seattle WA temperature 50 degrees and very humid. By 4am, setting 6, I can get my nose to stop whistling and feel unplugged. It is on the cusp of a full rainout when I feel comfortable. Am now wearing a nasal mask+ chin strap. One cpap pillow. I have 0 leaks. No congestion during day. 1. ...

Re: I need LOTS of humid air
You should know if your machine is data capable... look it up on Cpap.com, but there's generally a credit type of card, or a smaller doohickey in the machines, obviously removable (don't just pull it out though because it will tell you nothing by itself now). If you have one, then you'll also need ...

Re: I need LOTS of humid air by Julie on Sun Oct 10, 2010 2:46 pm Do you have software to check whether or not you're getting large leaks? They certainly could account for dryness (and loss of therapy). No software. I need to find out how to get some or maybe this machine isn't capapble? The 7 thin...

I need LOTS of humid air
Resmed VPAP Adapt SV + air filter. If placed in wrong- will it affect the flow and or volume of air I need? The blue side was facing out, then placed in filter cover. Not in machine first, followed by cover. Diagonal corner is correct. 2i humidifier- I feel as if I am BEGGING for moisture. Strip hos...

Re: I had success last night!
Congrats on your best night so far!! You might want to try a chinstrap to keep that mouth closed. As you become more accustomed to the mask and machine your mouth may stay closed on it's own, mine never did. Brenda I don't think I will ever be able to use chin straps because of my head, mouth and ma...

Re: I had success last night!
Wow that's great news Brings a tear to my eye remembering how it took me 6 months (yes 6 MONTHS) to be able to wake up in the morning without having pulled my mask off subconsciously during the night. Mind you there were just the clunky face masks that covered your nose and rested on your forehead ...

Now you should learn..... To actually put the subject of your post in the subject. Lots of people are here to help, but it's a tad rude when each of them have to go into your post to learn what you're talking about. Yes, I will learn. I thank everyone who read any or a part of my post.Sorry, never ...

I had success last night!
For the first time, in 15 nights, used equipment all night long. Minimal fiddling to put mask and its' attachments, back on, at my 2 wake ups. Woke first time w/ major leak-lower teeth outside the mask and gasket. Huge dry mouth and noise is what woke me, I think. Woke second time w/ huge dry mouth,...
