Re: Cleaning S9 water resevoir
The fact that Resmed ships the take apart tank everywhere but the good old USA tells me it's purely profit driven. Great video about taking the "not possible to disassemble" unit apart. I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who is on the hose who doesn't know about or at least lurk on this group. The am...

Re: ResMed said
When I clean my CPAP hose, I let it dry for a few hours then hook it up to the machine, turn it on and run it for around 2 hours with out a mask on. It turns off only when I push the button. Autostart may change that.

Re: Issue With Resmed S9
My CPAP doctor set up my S9 in fixed mode starting at 9 and ramping up to 11, which is where my sleep study said it should be. After studying the book, I decided to change it to Autoset mode, which I did Saturday night. I programmed the Autoset for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12. First two night...

Re: Pneumonia and cleaning
I also had a bought with Pneumonia. My MD didn't know whether or not it was connected with the CPAP. I do a once per week cleaning on all my equipment but now I drain my water tank and wipe the mask with CPAP wipes daily. I like to clean everything with Dawn. After the final rise, I use Peroxide. On...

Re: POLL - Do you like the Quattro FX? If not what is better?
The FX for me, was an extremely unfomfortable mask. My Doc had me try a Flexi-Fit FF432 and so far, it has worked best of all. To be sure, there are issues with this mask: The Good - It's comfortable. The seal is wide which feels better. It seems to be a lot more stable than anything I have used bef...

Re: Issue With Resmed S9
So I go in yesterday to pick up some items, the clinician guy I have been dealing with asks me if I noticed a difference between the S9 Escape and the S9 Autoset. I tell him that since I only used the Escape two nights and the Autoset for 6 nights, I really coudln't tell the diffence, both machines ...

Re: OT: Asked if I had a gun in my home during physical.
I think this is a very normal question. I have been asked this question for years at my annual physical. Not a big deal. They collect their demographic info. Its more so a safety thing. I usually lie about unnecessary demographic info in order to mess up the databases. If I'm shopping for a hard di...

Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it
I gave up on mine, exchanged it for a FlexiFit 432. Could not get past the comfort issue. Leak numbers were better with the FX though but I have not compared it with the FlexiFit.

Re: Quatro Fx
Gave up on it. Used it four nights, found the mask to be very uncomfortable. The deal was sealed when I saw that at 11:00 AM I still had headgear lines on my face. Exchanged it with a FlexiFit 432. The FX did improve my leak numbers, but I just couldn't get around how uncomfortable it was.

Re: Disastrous Medical Doctors-Top TenList of Apnea Ignorances
There are exceptions to this. I was talking to my doctor about my general sleep issues. He took quite some time looking at my history, spent some time revieing my medication history. He then turned to me and said "You need a sleep study" I was astounded.

Re: Quatro Fx
When you open the bag the mask is in, you have to open the bag with the plastic fitting fixture first. It indicated my size at Medium, which is what I have so I know it's the proper fit. I am going to give it another few nights.

Re: Issue With Resmed S9
Regarding the event indexes, less than 5 is considered by the medical profession to be effective treatment. You have that goal easily with lots of room to spare if the leak hasn't impaired the numbers.... Just to clairify, we are talking 5.0, not 0.5? Your leak needs improvement but you knew that. ...

Quatro Fx
Anyone tried the Quarto FX yet ? I used one for one night, so far, not good results. The rigid plastic pieces that secure the head gear dig into my face. Very uncomfortable, may be going back.

Re: Issue With Resmed S9

Here are the results: Pressure: 11.0 EPR Full Time Leak: Median 1.2 95the Percentile 16.8 Maximum 37.2 (I am still trying to find a mask that will go all night without leaking. Lost cause so far) Apnea Index: 0.5 AHI 0.5 Obstructive 0.3...
