Re: Help needed after open heart surgery

Again, thank you for the feedback.. Good news/Bad news: I have "apparently" discovered a combination of settings which solve the original problem; however, the machine "died" last night. I was almost at 4 hours when it quit the first time. I unplugged it and restarted which lasted about an hour befo...

Re: Help needed after open heart surgery

I appreciate the replies that have been posted to date. I have listed my equipment; however, I don't have access to software for the machine and my Apria tech says she doesn't either! The summary on the screen of the machine indicates 7 day and 30 day summaries of AHI of 2.9. I don't have easy acces...

Help needed after open heart surgery

I have been a cpap user for nearly 20 years with fairly good results; however, I had open heart surgery (aorta and valve replacement) in July. The doctors say I am doing very well and just need to continue recovery. Unfortunately I haven't been able to sleep more than a hour or two at the time since...

Questions about Opus 360 features..

I believe that the list of changes provided by the CPAP.COM site address most of those I have read on earlier posts to this forum. I didn't have the earlier Opus; however, one of the key issues seemed to be the softness of the body of the nose piece and someone made a velcro support for it. I used t...

New Opus 360 (HC482a) is great!

I just received one of the revised Opus masks this past week and I must say that not only did they fix many of the problems with the original one, but it is the easiest to use and lightest of all the masks that I have tried.. By the way, I started in this stuff in 1991! I did discover that they real...

DreamStalker's velcro girdle for both Opus and OptiLife

I like the o-ring idea and will try it; however, some time back (26 April) DreamStalker described the use of a narrow strip of velcro around the base of the Opus nose pieces and I tried it on my OptiLife, with great success! By the way, several have mentioned having problems with the front tube loca...

replacement tubing for Nasal Aire II

I have tried several approaches to obtain replacement tubing (including ACE Hardware) but the last effort seems to be satisfactory. I ordered food grade Tygon tubing from USPlastics (<http://www.usplastic.com>) and while I had to work at assembling the end pieces (thicker walled tubing) a little war...

Steve, thanks!

Steve (ufo13) I attempted to post a thanks a while ago; however, it must have disappeared.. I appreciate the quick response. I will just do the engineer thing and "fix" them rather trying to return them.. I must say that this forum is the best I have found in my searches. Fred

New Swift doesn't swivel like the old one?

Folks, I just received two new Swifts (different suppliers, interesting story in its own right!) and found last night that neither of them allow the nose piece to freely swivel in the frame. My older one works very nicely, particularly with the velcro fix listed above.. I can use Ayr to lubricate th...
