Thanks, I turned it off for a few minutes and now it is reporting realistic values. I had gotten zero for 3 days in a row, so it was clearly wrong.Guest wrote:Turn the machine off for a while. It will start reporting AHI again afterwards.

Resmed S9 Info stopped reporting AHI
Good morning: I log my AHI and other sleep information every morning. For the past 3 mornings the info screen has been reporting AHI as 0, which is clearly not correct. It is still recording the number of hours of mask use correctly. Does anyone have an idea if this is a software glitch that I could...

Re: High AHI
I have a device called a Zeo that records your sleep patterns. I can thus see when during the night I am in REM, deep, light sleep or am awake. I can then correlate that with my apneas. http://www.zeo.com

Re: Sleep Weaver --- CLOTH!! Mask????
I have a Sleep Weaver, but I don't use it. Air is meant to leak through the cloth, but I think a little too much air leaks through the cloth so it ends up blowing on my face. If it were a finer woven mesh it might work. Other than that, I like the way it feels and would use it.

Attention Happy Comfort Curve Users
I am a happy Comfort Curve (Respironics) user who was very disappointed that they discontinued this product. I have extra small and medium sized cushions (the part that fits over your nose); I use large. I would love to exchange these with anyone who has extra large sized cushions.

Re: SleepWeaver mask
Stormy: I have a Sleepweaver that I would really love, except it leaks at the top of my nose. Has anyone found a clip of some sort that I could use to seal the mask leak? I tried buying a "Comfort Care" sleep comfort care pad to see if I could fill in the space where it is leaking, but it doesn't re...

Stumped-Wake up every night with well fitting mask blowing
I have a new ResMed S9 and a variety of masks. I currently am favoring a Comfort Curve that fits well. I go to sleep with no leakage. When I wake up a few hours later that mask is blowing air full blast. It is though the machine has decided it needs to blow at 10. My setting are: Max 10 Min 4 EPR Fu...

Oximeters: What is the target O2 level to aim for?
thanks for the info. I will keep an eye on my O2, but I guess my APAP is taking care of things. I noticed that a couple of times a night my pulse goes from 65 to 100. I wonder what that is about? Am I having a great dream?

Oximeters: What is the target O2 level to aim for?
I recently bought a recording Oximeter (Nonin) and my oxygen levels gererally stay above 90 with APAP. However, some nights at about 3 AM, it falls to ~85 and my pulse rate goes up. I have read some of the other posts about oximters. I have a sense that if you are above 90 that you shouldn't worry a...

Midnight awakening with my machine blowing hard
I have a Respironics Remstar CFLEX Auto set on APAP. Everynight that I use the Comfort Curve mask I wake up with the mask blowing air hard. If I turn the machine off and on, it is fine again. Other masks don't seem to have that problem. I have a sense that it is waking me up. Anyone have any ideas o...

Will APAP function as a ventilator in an emergency?
I have been reading about the coming worldwide bird flu pandemic. They say that Tamiflu (flu antiviral drug) surgical masks and ventilators will be in short supply. I was wondering if hospitals are all completely overloaded with patients whether APAP machines could be used in an emergency to keep me...

Is there a good textbook that explains how to read APAP data
I am downloading data from my RemStar Auto and using Derek's nice MyEncore software. I am also carefully taking notes on some of the posts on this site. However, I still have trouble putting all the pieces together. Is there a textbook or monograph that tells how to interpret the download data? Mayb...

Trouble getting Respironics Encorepro software to see Card R
I have carefully read Derek's review (great job) and the instructions with the software, but I am having trouble getting the software to see the card reader. I install the software without the reader being plugged in; however, the software just doesn't seem to be able to connect. I have installed bo...

Innomed Nasal Aire II..Prong size & CPAP unit does shut
I just bought a Innomed Nasal Aire II mask with medium sized prongs. I bought it on line at CPAP.com. I just guessed at the size. I really like how the unit felt, but air starting leaking out in the middle of the night. The different size prongs are fairly expensive. Should I just try buying the med...

What is optimal? CPAP or Auto PAP?
I am a new CPAPer and have been reading and trying to understand what is the optimal treatment for my apnea. I am wondering if Auto PAP is the optimal treatment, but is more expensive so that insurance companies want everyone to start with CPAP and only go to Auto PAP if they can't tolerate CPAP? If...
