Re: Going through water too fast on my S9
My pressure is 9. I just reprogrammed to enable manual adjustment of humidity. I have it set to 4 right now, just as a starting point. I just adjusted my straps again, loosening the top ones, and it seems the place I get leaks is right under my eyes (bridge of the nose), and lower in my cheeks (just...

Re: Going through water too fast on my S9
Great info! Ummm.... looking back over the past month's detailed data... I have some good nights, and some lousy ones. My mask is a just over a month old, so that's probably not it. I've been using the Quattro for about the past year. I have ZERO follow up with my provider. They threw this diagnosis...

Re: Going through water too fast on my S9
Thanks, Pugsy... I have my data open now...
A great deal of my time is over the 24 L/min line, but I'm getting a green symbol on mask fit.
It seemed to me that the Quattro had a much more free exhaust set up (more ports), which was the cause.
Do I simply tighten my mask straps a bit?

Re: Going through water too fast on my S9
It's the Climateline... the one with the automatic feedback to auto control, which I believe is 80 degrees, 80% humidity (if memory serves). I'm still in the same location (waterfront in Maryland), so I can't blame a new desert setting. I also have a room humidifier going, to keep the ambient humidi...

Going through water too fast on my S9
My S9 set has started going through water faster than ever before... and I don't know why. I'm now getting less than 7 hours from a full tank. I'm using the Mirage Quattro mask, with the Slimline hose that's supposed to manage the temp and humidity level. Any ideas on what I should check first? Than...

Re: AHI numbers all over the place
Great info, Dave! Thanks for this. Lots of learning to do here. I've already changed to the Ultra Mirage FF mask, so at least the leak problem should be resolved. First night with the FF and a CPAP of 9.0... my highest AHI level to date. I'm going to give it a few days to normalize, then start back ...

Same pressure, no matter what type mask?
Today I switched from the nasal pillows to a full face mask (Mirage Ultra) because of uncontrollable mouth leakage and completely raw nostrils. When I connected it to my S9 and ran a mask check, it seemed like a crazy amount of pressure. My titration value was 9 cm/h2o. So... does the mask fit proce...

Re: help with tape
I'll throw another technique in there... I use the nasal pillows, and wear a Pure Sleep mouth piece (wore it before starting CPAP)... I was having mouth breathing problems, so I started using self adhesive 2" ACE bandage as a chinstrap. Still leaking through the mouth. I then cut a piece that would ...

AHI numbers all over the place
Hi all, Day 6 in CPAP-enhanced life, and I'm still working out some bugs (I assume I'll be in that mode for some time...). My latest quandry is this: My sleep study titration pressure was 9. I got the S9 Autoset, and it was set to a range of 4 to 10. First couple of nights ran around 1.8 AHI. I twea...

S9 data settings
I'm on day 4 of my CPAP-enhanced life, and so far, so good. I have the software to do my own analysis, which brings me to my question. The first two nights, the data settings were as originally set... to collect summary data only. I then got the clinicians manual, and changed it to collect detailed ...

Re: Back Noodle or Mand. Adv. Device helpful WITH CPAP?
I use my Puresleep mouth guard with my nasal pillows at the recommendation of my sleep study tech. It helps me keep my mouth closed (most of the time), and seems to keep me from the obstructive episodes. I found that I do go slack-jawed at some point during the night, so I've taken to making a chins...

Re: Which machine to buy first?
Thanks for all of the great insight, everyone... I tried the leaf blower idea, but went with an electric version. When I gated down the current, it made a strange whining sound and kept my wife up all night. Non starter... As you can see below, my insurer provided me with the S9 Autoset, with the H5...

Re: Resmed S9 Software - Where can I get it?
Looks like you're gonna be a popular guy... can I get that PM too? I just got the S9 two nights ago, and have no idea how I'm sleeping, other than feeling better.
Thanks,
Steve
