Re: I'm changing sleep doctors

Hi, its time for a update. Tuesday 23/11/10. I met with my new sleep doctor today for the first time. The appointment was for 1 hour, and I found him to be very polite, patient, and at no stage did I feel pressurised for time by him. He spent quite a bit of time gathering information on my full medi...

New Mask

On December 1, I started using the Quattro FX Full Face Mask, which replaced my Mirage Quattro Full Face Mask. The main feature of the Quattro FX Full Face Mask is that it doesn't have the forehead support. It is a much lighter mask and more delicate mask. Interestingly, after 7 nites usage, my AHI ...

Re: pressure question for APAP

DebMA, i had the same problem. My pressure range was 4-20, and after 3 months I convinced my specialist to lift the minimum to 6.0. This has helped, but I still think it is too low. The whoosing noise is so annoying for me, I sleep with cotton balls in my ears.

Re: Rem rebound????

I was told that REM rebound would occur around week 4 of CPAP treatment, and that is exactly what happened to me. I was also told that it would last a couple of weeks, which it did.

After 4 and a half months, I have had no relapse with tiredness at all. (Fingers crossed).

Re: Health Observations

Thanks for the replies guys. Its great to see that you all seem to be experiencing similar positive side effects, except the body hair! It means that I am not imaging things! As a side issue, I ran an experiment last nite, based on what I read somewhere on this website. I read that side sleepers sho...

Hi Everyone, Its Day 140 of my CPAP treatment, and I thought I would share with you some recent observations I have made, about some lesser discussed topics: 1. My Immunity System seems to have bounced back. Pre CPAP, whenever a got a cold or flu, it would knock me out for 2-4 weeks, and I would be ...

Re: Require less sleep using cpap

I have been on CPAP for just over 4 months, and the longer I go, the less I wake up during the nite. For the first two months I was waking up quite a few times during the nite. In my case, it was mastering the leaks that reduced the wakeups.

Is there a section on this website where people have blogs? I seem to remember surfing this site recently, and seeing it? Or was I looking thru sleepy eyes, and dreaming it?
