Re: Is it really necessary to clean your mask & tubing ?
My husband has had his CPAP machine for 10 years. I've never seen him clean anything- mask, tubing, filter. I've had mine for a month and have been cleaning the nasal pillows daily. I haven't cleaned anything else though. The fact he doesn't clean his grosses me out. He does get a sinus infection ab...

My first month report
I've been using my machine for about a month now. Aside from some burning reactions on my face early on, things are going pretty well. I'm still tired during the day and I'm VERY tired in the evenings although I've been getting an average of 7.5 hours of sleep a night. I took my card to the DME to d...

Re: I started out with basically no info from the doctor
Thank you so much. It didn't even register that I could ask for my records! Excellent. I do have a copy of the physician order/letter of medical necessity from the DME. It is signed by my doctor. OSD is checked- which is no surprise. It says CPAP 10 cwd. I'm assuming this is the pressure? Is the sof...

I started out with basically no info from the doctor
When I got my call after my first sleep study from the nurse saying I did have had apnea episodes and needed to schedule a titration study, I was in the car. I remember she did rattle off some numbers, but they meant nothing to me and of course I couldn't write anything down. Because of this wonderf...

Re: hi
Really, really well. This was night #5 and I had my first series of dreams in years. I slept maybe 8 hours with a few interruptions for hose adjustments.
I still feel tired today though-- my body is still adjusting I'm sure.

Re: Do You Use the CPAP Wiki?
I have a bit. I find it a little hard to use. I'm so new at this (even though my husband has had one for 10 years- and has not been proactive in his care- same machine, same settngs for 10 years) that I don't really know *what* I'm looking for when I want to find it.

Re: New here with a couple questions
Thanks! that helps a lot.
Now what software would I need? I'm guessing EncoreViewer 2.0 from what I've read here, but want to make sure.

Re: New here with a couple questions
Thanks Janknitz -- You must have been replying when I switched my machine info. I didn't see what I have listed, but I have the I have a REMstar Pro C-Flex+ with a System One Heated Humidifier. I also have the Swift LT for Her. Your explaination of the humidity makes perfect sense. My husband used t...

New here with a couple questions
Hi All, I just started using my machine 4 nights ago. I'm lucky in that my husband has been using a CPAP for the last ten years (with *no* follow-ups- my doctor said he should be seen every year so now he has an appointment scheduled soon.) He's been helpful and since I knew what I was "getting myse...
