Re: So tired.. any ideas?
Well I finally got through to my doctor's office. It very well could be my vitamin D levels again. I'm sitting at 30, even with taking 4000iu a day, and normal is 30-100 but they like to see people around 50. The nurse recommended that I bump my intake up to 5000iu, but will also speak to my doctor ...

Re: So tired.. any ideas?
I don't recall if I had my thyroid checked in this most recent round of blood work, but I do believe it was checked within the past year and was fine. I suppose it could have gone wonky more recently though.

Re: So tired.. any ideas?
I get 8 hours of sleep at night with few if any wake-ups.
Every morning I take viibrid (antidepressant), abilify (atypical anti-psychotic), vyvanse (for ADHD symptoms), and HCTZ (water pill for blood pressure). Plus I take my vitamin D and a multi-vitamin. I'm not taking anything in the evening.

So tired.. any ideas?
I have been just absolutely exhausted for the past few weeks. I've been on cpap treatment for over three years now, and nothing has changed... but I did decide to take a look at my numbers just in case. My AHI is around 1.0 and my leak values are fine as well. I'm thinking it could be my vitamin D l...

Re: ResScan Software Download
I also need the ResScan software, please. I have a Resmed S9 from a few years ago, but recently changed computers and no longer have the software available to me.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Snoring with CPAP Mask on
It's definitely possible to snore while on CPAP. When I had my initial titration done (going for a one-year re-titration tonight!) and I looked at my report, I saw that my AHI went down to next to nothing with a pressure of 12, but my snoring didn't stop until I got up to a pressure of 16.

Re: Mask Frustrations
Do you NEED a full face mask? I have the Swift FX for Her (just replaced my Swift FX and this is what they sent me), and have a pressure of 16 and have had no problems with it. I did have some problems with leaks recently, but that's because my nasal pillows were a year old and in desperate need of ...

Re: A Couple of Questions
Thanks for posting Marcman. It is good to know that I'm not alone in this. I'm just not really sure as to what to do about it anymore. I jumped at the chance for a re-titration in the desperate hope that it would be the answer. The good news is that I haven't had to fight nodding off at my desk yet ...

Re: A Couple of Questions
However - untreated sleep apnea can cause depression, anxiety and other emotional issues so you may want to consider reducing these meds WITH the help of your doctors. It is possible that by treating your sleep apnea you are now treating the underlying causes. Also many people have found that by tr...

Re: A Couple of Questions
I take the meds in the morning. However, I'm still tired upon waking in the morning and just desperately want to stay in bed and sleep more at that point.. so if the tiredness is from the meds, it doesn't wear off within 24 hours. So I don't think that changing the time I take them is going to make ...

Re: A Couple of Questions
Well if it's the meds, then I guess I just have to get used to being tired all the time. I am seriously NOT in a good place when not on them. I tried weaning off of them before we started trying to conceive.. and things did not go well. And thinking back to the days before I was on the meds.. yeah, ...

Re: A Couple of Questions
My psychiatrist says that the meds I'm on for depression don't cause sleepiness.. and I don't think any changes in them have coincided with changes in how I feel (I've been VERY tired for the past couple of months). Pugsy is right, sleepiness and tiredness are two different things. Maybe you don't ...

Re: A Couple of Questions
You say exhaustion and you say sleepiness. Is it one or both? They aren't necessarily the same. What meds are you on for depression? Have you researched them yourself to see what side effects there might be? I'm not sure what the difference is? I have a lot of trouble getting out of bed each mornin...

Re: A Couple of Questions
That's the frustrating thing. We've addressed so many issues so far... depression, sleep apnea, low vitamin D. All can cause tiredness, all have been rectified, and yet I'm still dealing with this. Had more blood work done recently to check for a cause.. everything came back just fine. So when my do...

Re: A Couple of Questions
Thanks for the help in getting the software guys. Well the good news is that despite me leak rate getting a little out of control lately (going to call for new nasal pillows tomorrow.. mine are ummm.. old), my AHI is all but nonexistent. From June 1st through last night, it's a whopping average of 0...
