Re: Floating white "scum" in my humidifier
The problem with distilled water is that certain bacteria, Psuedomonas, being one, can live in it and use the plastic container for their carbon source. So they don't really need anything to live on except the container. The bacterium grows in a slimy layer on surfaces and the slime protects the co...

Re: UPDATE! hair clip DID solve my positional sleep apnea!
Hi there, I remember you from the cute Avatar of yours, welcome back. Funny thing, I think it has been over a year since I have been here too and today here I am So I guess I must be really tired (and I am, I need to turn in...) but I don't get the hair clip reference. Glad you found a solution that...

Re: "NO" reading with the Resmed software???
Thanks I did indeed try this, but will do it again what the heck. I forgot to ask, maybe someone can confirm what files should be on the card, I doubt I deleted any of the important files as I am usually very careful about that. What I have are: DATALOG (this is the folder with all sleep files, and ...

All "ZERO" readings with the Resmed software???
So I have been using the S9 for about 2 years now (IIRC?) but about 6 months ago I noticed that when I took the memory card out and plugged it into the computer to see how things were going, there was basically NO info! Everything was just zero everywhere, and I no I dont sleep THAT good! So I think...

Thank you for those replies!
I will do both.
I did see that video before as well, and attempted to open my tank by prying but even prying hard nothing was happening so gave up before I broke out, so think I will wait until I get the new one good advice

Re: Floating white "scum" in my humidifier
This is very important. You are doing the right thing by using distilled water, but for your health you need to clean that water chamber with either dish soap and water or vinigar and water everyother day. This is a breeding ground for bacteria and it will make you sick. I have had patients that ha...

Re: Quattro FX -- Please post feedback on it
I started a Poll on this mask before I made the decision to buy it as I wanted to see it directly compared to the Mirage Quattro which I was using and relatively happy with (read after a month of farting around I got leaks down to zero but the damn thing was leaving a red mark on my nose). Here is t...

Re: Help!!! Clueless about Flow Limitations
I actually don't worry about the Flow or how well things are shaped etc at all (and that is getting down to the finer details that I A - no nothing about at this point and B - not sure I can do anything about either) but I see you have mostly Centrals so it would seem we have fairly different breath...

Re: OT: Drinking water, suggestions please
I like water a LOT more since I started drinking reverse osmosis water, which is the purest water available other than distilled, distilled typically taste a little funny depending on brand, reverse osmosis has NO TASTE AT ALL, which is fantastic compared to tap or spring water. Tap water is disgust...

Re: Question about AHI=0 on Resmed S9 Autoset and Software
You need to compare what happens in your machine with what happens to other peope who had 0 AHI during the whole 24 hour period the chart refers to . If a person takes a nap and has 0 AHI in the nap, but some AH at night, of course the chart will be there. Ditto if a person has an AHI=0 night, but ...

Re: Question about AHI=0 on Resmed S9 Autoset and Software
however both are missing the event part of the graph completely too. Which event graph is missing? There are two, one that shows the vertical bars with the duration in the box at the top, and the other is a line graph that goes up one for each event for a one hour period, and then resets to zero. B...

Re: Question about AHI=0 on Resmed S9 Autoset and Software
Interestingly enough, after not unplugging the unit and having 3 nights of roughly AHI=1 since the zero, last night I got another 0, second one ever. In contrast to the others that posted, once again I have NO event portion on my graph. ALL other info is there however, pressure, flow, snore, etc and...

Re: POLL - Do you like the Quattro FX? If not what is better?
I bought the FX about 2 weeks ago. I voted for great mask coming from the Mirage Quattro, its not perfect but good, I was good with the Mirage Quattro for 6 months, it took me a month to get leaks figured out but once I did they were gone for good. Biggest problem was red mark on nose due to having ...

Re: Question about AHI=0 on Resmed S9 Autoset and Software
Well last night I did not reboot machine or anything, I just wanted to see what would happen. AHI = 1.2 for last night, and of course all things on graph are present incl events section. For the prior night, events section is still missing. Two people report that when they have a zero night the even...
