Re: Atlanta Cpap-Talk Group Meetup for June 18
OK, y'all, I know where Dillards is...where is the food court in relationship? I haven't been inside Perimeter since they remodeled and I really don't want to walk miles to find y'all Lower level and to the right as you walk from Dillards into the food court. I don't know the mall, just looked at t...

Re: OT: Losing a pet
I lost a dear friend today. The beautiful Golden Retriever that is in my avatar pic died at 14 + years of age. Those of you who have been through it know how I feel this night and how I will feel for some time to come. This is a tribute to my dear girl, who loved unconditionally and was always ther...

Re: Stomach pain from eating air?
I had this problem and found out (via the Atlanta CPAP meeting) that having my chin down is one possible cause. That fixed it for me! YMMV.Knabino wrote:Sometimes I wake up with painful tummy on all sides and need to release gas. Does this mean my pressure is too high, even if my AHI is over 5?

Mg helps "smooth out" neuro-muscular activity (assuming you are running low).SleepingUgly wrote:Magnesium helps eye twitches?

Lets not overcomplicate this.
Assuming you would like (can afford) a new unit. I don't think you need to forge an Rx. If you are in the Atlanta area, I happen to have just bought a brand new one (of whatever model you want ). Since I am happy with my current model, I would be happy to sell it to you at cost (PM me). If you are n...

Re: S9 ASV adapt humidifier running dry - help!
FYI, I do recall reading somewhere that Resmed does not recommend using a hose cover over the climateline hoses. Not really sure why, it's not as though the hose gets very warm at all. However, it could have to do with the expected amount of heat loss through the hose wall; a difference from expect...

Re: S9 ASV adapt humidifier running dry - help!
The result with increased pressure is increased uptake of the water vapor. You gave a very good response, but I think you may have gotten mixed up on this one aspect. Perhaps there is something unique to the CPAP system I am not considering, but higher pressures normally result in less evaporation ...

What happened to Einstein Bagels?! There is a burnt odor that was bothering some of us. We think it is simply the crumbs falling off bagels in the oven being burnt. In Einsteins, it is part of the toast smell; however, after a few hours, the burnt odor seems to embed in clothing. For me, it is when...

I've got a blow torch and striker I can bring. Will that work?

Re: Dreaming and AHI
Just as reinforcement of what has been said, here are the numbers from my original sleep study (no CPAP) AHI (not including REM sleep) = 5.4 AHI (during REM sleep) = 25.9 So, if we can believe these numbers reflect a general trend, it seems reasonable that the more time in the course of a night spen...

Re: What is 95th percentile
Also, does anybody experience bad aerophagia with this CPAP? Interesting that you asked that, because I have just recently started having problems after months without issue (using S9 Autoset the whole time). I can't think of anything that has changed on my setup other than weight loss, but I'm in ...

Re: Strange Chest Pain
I'm not clear on how long you've been using CPAP on a regular basis, but there is a good chance it is simply a matter of your rib cage expanding more than what has been normal for you. When I last visited my cardiologist, he asked me if I had any chest pains and I said yes, but assumed it was from u...

Re: Heated Hose failure - Resmed logic?
Hmmm... If I can see light shifting from refraction on water ripples, it's good! If I don't, I refill it. How slack is that? Keeping in mind what StevenXXXX brought up: do you use an electric blanket, an electric warming pad or any sort of heating element on your bed that could be having an effect ...
