Re: PR System One with CFlex issues
Ok thanks Cowly. I thought it did go all the way off, but I couldn't be sure.

PR System One with CFlex issues
Hi All, I have a PR System one with C-Flex that I got in April. About a week ago, it started making a high pitched noise on both in hale and exhale when I start it. This, for some reason, goes away during the night, because I don't recall hearing it in the morning. Last night, I noticed that the hum...

Re: For those who have to tangle with Apria
Thanks for the feedback from everyone. At least I am not the only one that thinks that the way this operates is questionable at best. I should have listened to some Cpap talkers and just paid out of my pocket instead of using my insurance! I was using Athem Blue Cross. The branch manager ultimately ...

For those who have to tangle with Apria
I thought I would post my recent experience dealing with Apria as it might help others. If this is old news, violates some forum rule etc, feel free to delete this post. Here is the short version of what happened. I got a cpap from them Sept of last year. Combined, my insurance and I paid 4 months. ...

Re: Can your hose length be too long?
The effect on the machine concerns me. I don't want to disrupt that. I am thinking that since some of you see a potential problem, I need to be a little creative and stick with the 6ft hose. Maybe if I bolt my machine to one of the blades of the ceiling fan it would work

Can your hose length be too long?
Is having 12ft of hose too long? I have figured out that I have to crack the hose management issue if I am ever going to sleep well. Currently I have the standard 6ft hose. I am thinking of buying another 6ft hose and connecting them together so that I can run it back behind my bed. I probably don't...

Re: First week on machine..how am I doing?
John, I don't know if the AHI of 1 is real as this is just my 7 day average. I am waiting to get the software sent to me to really understand what is happening. Last night I had the same problem. Fell asleep and was awake 45 minutes later. I woke up almost every hour. I was pretty frustrated this mo...

Re: Polysomnogram GREAT - Home use HORRIBLE
I am very much a rookie as this is my 9th night with my CPAP. I have experienced the same issues you are having. 1. Fighting the exhale: I have my C-Flex setting at 3, the lowest amount of exhale pressure. The first night I took off the mask and the next morning I told my wife my machine was broken....

Thanks Emilia,
I bought the software so I will check back in when I have some data that I can share.

Re: CPAP prescriptions
I can't answer your question directly, but I can add this information from my own experience. My family practice doctor sent me for a sleep study. The sleep study was done at home. The report was then sent to back to my family practice doctor. My family practice Dr. wrote a prescription for a cpap m...

Re: First week on machine..how am I doing?
Ah thanks for the Info. Sounds like I am in the ballpark. So far, looking at the numbers on my screen, my average AHI is 1.0. I think I need the software to really figure that out though. I am sure this has been asked a 1000 times, but where do you buy the software and card reader from? Does it leav...

First week on machine..how am I doing?
Tonight will be my 7th night on my new cpap machine. I think so far I am doing ok, but I thought some of you sage veterans might be able to tell me if I am on track. I am feeling better, no question about that, but I am far from being normal. I realize this will come with time. I am waking up quite ...

Re: Help! First machine delivered directly to house?
Thanks for that info on the contract. I really have no idea who will deliver it. I will just have to find out when it shows up. It sounds like the settings are already in the machine so I shouldn't have to mess with that too much. I do work with computers so I am pretty good at figuring things out. ...

Help! First machine delivered directly to house?
I need some help from you experts out there. I have been stuck waiting for my first cpap machine from my DME. I have been getting the runaround about clearing insurance and Dr Rx. I know this is not a problem because I have already followed up with both. The lady I spoke to today (after I said I rea...
