Re: Choosing a replacement cpap
I have used the 11 since April of 2023, after going thru maybe 2 Airsense 10's. I have no druthers between the two. I do have trouble seeing the S11 screen, but my eyesight is going out anyway. As part of the summary report, I downloaded the Resmed Myair app, which has Bluetooth capabilities. I can ...

Re: CPAP Supplier Staffed by Real People?
I don't think there is not any agreement on one DME. You try to find one that is less painful for you. Some people will not have any trouble with a DME, while some folks will hate the same DME. They all give some pain. You try to get one that you can manage,,,, maybe with drugs! Due to my insu...

Re: F20 foam mask
F20 with foam did not work for me. It leaked too much and felt strange so back to the F20 silicon. It was a year ago I ditched F20 for F40 and that made a huge difference for the better. After a few months with F40 I tried F20 and wondered how I ever suffered through it. Hi! Do you have an issue wi...

Re: F20 foam mask
mmmm. I used the F20 several years ago and gave up on it because it tore up the bridge of my nose, too. I switched to the Resmed Mirage Quattro. It has a knob to adjust the nose bridge tension, Once I get the adjustment set, I seldom mess with the knob or tension. I may check out the F20 foam. Sheriff

Re: Is there a way to temporarily reduce the need for a humidifier?
The use of humidifier is a personal preference. Some folks need one for their sinuses. Still, some prefer it for comfort. Years ago, I asked myself if I really needed one. I went several nights without it and I adjusted to cpaplife without it. I dropped-kicked mine into the next county, and never lo...

Re: Is it worth buying a backup machine?
All machines are different, but the lifespan is usually around 5 years, give or take. I think after 4 years, you are living on borrowed time. Again, many people get more than 5 years. I bought a Resmed S10 last year when it was on sale and it is my backup. I only go out of town 2 or 3 times a year. ...

Re: One week new to cpap
The best place to get mask liners is from padacheek.com. The owner is a member here and the liners are designed to fit your mask. They are fleece and are real comfy, It will eliminate the marks.

Re: Mask Replacement Schedule
I usually replace my mask cushions when the leak rates increase or the leaks start to wake me up. I can usually get 4-6 weeks on a cushion. The answer is no. Different people have different schedules.

Re: FitLife Total Face CPAP/BiPAP Mask
I used the Total mask for over a decade. I only use it now, when my full face mask screws up my nose bridge, or I have some Melanoma skin issues on my nose. Was there a specific issue you had? I do know the mask is becoming harder and harder to get. My current DME says they can't get it. I had some ...

Re: Padacheek liners leaks
I'm totally like you. I tried the F20 several times and ended drop kicking it to the next county. I couldn't prevent the nose bridge issues. I have been using the Resmed Mirage Quattro for several years. It has a knob that will allow you to adjust the pressure on the bridge of the nose. Take a look-...

Re: FIRST NIGHT - help?
To expand on what LSAT said, the constant forced air cpap sends could initially make your lungs sore. I think overtime, your lungs would adjust to the constant pressure cpap therapy provides.

Re: Recent surgery need extra smalll full face mask
I have always had the problem with the headgear being too big. Whatever mask I used, I needed the largest mask they make for that particular mask, but the headgear was always too big. So, I would have to buy the next size down headgear.
