Re: Battery help for complete moron
I actually pulled that thread up but I got lost pretty quickly. I'm going to try and read through it again and hopefully the 3rd or 4th reading makes some sense. So far, nope. Like I said I am an idiot apparently.

Battery help for complete moron
First off, I am a young woman and I am a technical idiot. My husband is activated/stationed to another state and is unable to assist me. I have found a few old threads about converting a CPAP to run off a battery source, but they were Greek to me. Here's my situation in a nutshell. I am 16 weeks pre...

Columbus, OH help?
A lady I know who lives in Columbus, OH suspects she may have sleep apnea. She doesn't know where to turn for help. She does not need a referral from a physician in order to see a specialist, so she wanted to bypass her family doctor. Is anyone near Columbus, OH? Can you recommend a good specialist?...

Re: Caused by CPAP or something else?
It could be coincidental, but I went to bed around 1AM last night (was up with a tot who didn't feel well). I woke up at 4AM with him again and forgot to put the mask back on in my half-asleep state. Woke up for the day at 9:30AM and my headache went away after an hour and I don't feel the ear pain ...

Re: pleae explain sleep debt
This is the analogy that my doctor used last week. He said as far as sleep debt goes, he considered me to being very close to bankruptcy. He said that it will take me a lot longer to pay off my debt (by paying the regular daily fee with interest of more sleep) than it would for someone who just boun...

Re: Caused by CPAP or something else?
I was just wondering if anyone else has had increased headaches or earaches on CPAP.
My headache could be from stress, but the earache is the confusing part.

Caused by CPAP or something else?
Been on CPAP since August 3rd. Ever since then I've been having increasing issues with my ears. Lots of drainage, having trouble understanding people when they speak, and downright pain a few times. I've also had more problems with headaches. Before my morning headches could be so bad that I would v...

Re: Disappointing news from Dr.
My focus is on my health right now so that I can improve the quality of life for 22-month old son. I don't have time for selfish, childish husbands. My meds really didn't change. I started Provigil 7/28 and quit about 3 weeks later. No other meds other than a supplement I've taken for several months.

Re: Disappointing news from Dr.
You told us you slept all night on 6 cm. and were able to stop Provigil, but you didn't tell us how you felt on 6 cm. Energy, sleepiness, fatigue, mood. If those were improving, the rx. change is even more mystifying to me. Do you have the software? Can you post a report.? I was sleeping all night ...

Re: Disappointing news from Dr.
Our health insurance doesn't cover counseling. I am a stay-at-home-mom who is on a monthly allowance even though my husband makes quite a bit. I cannot afford counseling on my "allowance". Yoga may be a good option since I have a Y membership that is currently being unused. Yoga certainly couldn't h...

Disappointing news from Dr.
I'm not sure what I'm expecting to accomplish with this post. I just needed to vent frustrations to people who might understand as no one in my life does. I had my initial consultation on 7/27 and my sleep study on 8/2. My AHI during the study was 27 (with only 1 obstructive, 2 central and the rest ...

Re: What's wrong with my mask?
I noticed last night that I only feel air escaping when I inhale, but not when I exhale. Doesn't that seem odd? Thoughts on why this occurs?

What's wrong with my mask?
I use the Swift FX nasal pillow mask with the headgear. When I was fitted for the mask they decided I needed extra-small nostril pillow. I used it for about 3 weeks and then from talking to you guys, I decided I needed to move up to the small size. With the extra-small I kept getting a feeling like ...

Re: Nasal Pillows, O Rings, and Discolorattion
How often should pillows be changed? Just wondering because I got my machine 8/3 and didn't have a follow-up appt. until 9/15. They gave me one pillow--a size XS. I would have been using the same pillow for six weeks if I had not exchanged it for a S size pillow Monday. It's going to be a pain in th...
