Re: Redness from mask?
BINGO!! I started using the baby wipes to give my mask a quick wipe before bed then when i would apply some lotion upon waking. That helped but a couple of nights ago i was looking at a bottle of Afta after shave lotion. Then it popped into my head that it was meant for irritated skin. So i decided ...

Re: Redness from mask?
daewon, honey, welcome to the forum! My skin is hideously sensitive (although much improved since I started cpap therapy. Who knew that would help? Anyway...) and I put just a drop of my face soap in a pot of really hot, but not boiling water, and soak my new equipment for at least 30 minutes befor...

Re: Redness from mask?
And before you try the liners, you might try what many people recommend: Wash your cushion thoroughly, even soak it for a short while in white vinegar and water and rinse really well till no trace of vinegar smell can be detected, followed by air-drying. Something about new silicone that causes sen...

Re: Redness from mask?
I think i might look into something like that liner. I had an idea like that. The redness does fade maybe i will give it a little longer and see if it stops when i get more used to it then try the liner. I dont really have the option of another mask since i'm having to pay out of pocket. And plus as...

Re: Redness from mask?
Hi rush! I have to have it fairly tight to compensate for my facial hair so i don't know if i could have it much looser. I wonder if some kind of lotion would help.rushrhees wrote:It happens, try to loosen the mask a bit but not so much it starts leaking. I made that mistake early on and it will go away.

Redness from mask?
Hi everyone. This is my first week on a machine. I was wondering if anyone else has had this when they first started. I seem to be having some redness, not pain just redness, where the mask cushioning rests. Is there a remedy for this? Thanks in advance for any responses! :-=)

Re: FlexiFitHC432 vs Forma Mask
Well it's been a couple of nights and so far i can say, aside from still getting used to the mask, is i LOVE the Forma! It's so much better than what they had in the sleep lab. No rpoblems with leaks with a full beard. Very comfortable. Two thumbs up for me!

Re: FlexiFitHC432 vs Forma Mask
Hi Bons! JC! Yes all of the suppliers i'm going to locally are doing the same thing. Pushing what they want to sell me. During my sleep study they had that respironics mask with the sad looking half deflated "cushion" if you can call it that. It was horrible and i had the same nose problem just with...

FlexiFitHC432 vs Forma Mask
Hi everyone! I'm getting my first mask and based on my having a rather large cranium and facial hair and being a mouth breather it seems like either the Flexifit432 or the forma mask would be suitable for me. As far as the amount of foam does one differ from the other? I know each for is a personal ...
