I read up on both of them since posting. sounds like the Remstar Pro is noisier - 29 db vs 24 for the Resmed S8 Elite. Sounds like neither software works with Windows 7 at this time. Doctor offices are more likely to be setup for Respironics.

I called my DME and said I didn't want the S8 Escape II because its not a data-capable machine. I said I wanted a Resmed S8 or S9 Elite They can't get a S9 without special permission. I purchased a sampler of the Chin-up strips. http://www.chinupstrip.com they are comfortable and work quite well.
