Thanks for all the suggestions. I've been trying the pillow between my knees - I'll try splitting time on each side tonight and see if that helps.

Back pain from sleeping on my side
Hello! I'm about 4 - 5 months into life with my Bi-Pap and things are going quite well - sleeping well, feeling rested, AHI is around 1 - 3. One problem has developed - I'm having back pain since I've started sleeping on my side. I had to spend some quality time with my heating pad this morning befo...

CAs only during REM?
Question - is it possible / normal to have most of your CA apneas during REM sleep? Looking at my data this morning I had 34 CAs clustered in a 1 hour period about 2/3 the way through the night and only about 15 outside that period. Could these be REM related? Just trying to make sense of things. Ja...

3.5!! Best night yet! Just upped the pressure from 10/6 to 12/8. AHI was 4.0 yesterday and 3.5 today. I feel like I'm high on something!

Re: AHI 14 after 2 weeks - suggestions?
Ughh. Well after 4 nights on the Softgel my AHI is higher than it was on the FFM, 16 rather than 14. This is becoming quite discouraging. I do not know if I should continue with this or go back to the FFM.I send my chip to the DME again next week and if it is still high they will order a new titrat...

Re: Data, what does it mean :)
Make sure what your machine reports as leak rate takes into account the vent rate of your mask. On my machine with my mask, 25% means that I'm not leaking at all.

Re: AHI 14 after 2 weeks - suggestions?
Yup, I'm right there with ya. That's about where mine was after 2 weeks. Keep on going. Make sure the mask is comfortable with minimal leaks. For me, my AHI seems to not be on a steady decline so much as occaisionally it drops a point or two. I'm now in the 6 - 8 range (with twice hitting 4!) after ...

Depression meds and apnea
Does anyone have any experience with depression meds (Cymbalta and Wellbutrin specifically) and their effect on apnea, either positive or negative?

Dave -
Are you married / have a "bed-mate"? If so, and they weren't with you at the hotel, maybe they toss and turn and contribute to your arousals. I'm beginning to think that my wife is having that effect on me.

Re: OT: What does everybody do for a living?
Electrical engineer.. It makes me a total pain in the ass about "Why did this number go up?" and "How that this affect anything?" - kinda have to understand what's going on in my Bi-PAP.

Re: Just feel like whining....
I don't think those are percentages your machine is reporting. I think it is actual leak. I don't own that machine though. On the PR System One REMStar with Bi-Flex my understanding (and please someone - correct me if I'm wrong here!) is that the leak rate is the GROSS leak rate - it doesn't accoun...
