New humidifer leaks on airsense 10

I got my replacements parts including a new humidifier chamber for my airsense 10. When I woke up in the morning, there was a puddle on my nightstand (my phone was soaked). Most of the water was drained. The next day I filled the new chamber with tap water and it was watertight. I theorized that I h...

Any good new chin straps out there?

It was time for a supply reorder and I asked for a new Carefusion Rubyred from my supplier, Verus. They said they only carried the Sunset but it was the same thing. Good god, it's not. I don't know what the material is on the Sunset, but wherever it touched me, sweat was pouring out. I had to take m...

Re: Masks better than the Dreamwear?

For a number of years I used one of the Resmed Mirage masks, with varying degrees of discomfort. But in my most recent sleep study, they fitted me with a Dreamwear and I thought it was really comfortable. So with my new equipment prescription, I asked for one. But when I arrived at my medical device...

Re: ResMed S9 Autoset for sale

Well, I guess I'll keep it as a backup. I wasn't getting rid of it for the money--I simply don't have a lot of room for extra stuff in my overpriced and tiny Silicon Valley rental.

ResMed S9 Autoset for sale

Nicely maintained Resmed S9 machine for sale. Includes carrying case, plugs and brick, humidifier unit. Used in a home with no pets, no smokers, and no strong fragrances (my wife can't bear anything like detergents, fabric softeners, perfume, etc.). Does not include the SD card, hose, or the replace...

Re: Pap-Cap??

I have used the same Pap Cap since 2010 and since it was getting old, and also for the convenience of having another one when the first is drying after being hand washed, I bought another. I'm crazy about some of the changes. The velcro flap that secures behind the head is way too long--much longer ...

Re: Unwelcome participants in my CPAP therapy

Well the common name is daddy longlegs but it's not the daddy longlegs I grew up with on the East Coast, which I suspect perhaps was not even a spider...that one had a single, roundish body and kids tended to catch it and pull its legs off, quite horrible. The ones I see here in the house have elong...

Re: Unwelcome participants in my CPAP therapy

Thanks for all the ideas on ant control. I put out the colony-destroying baits and they have pretty much done their job. Plus the rains have stopped for a few days and so the ants are less prone to looking for a new place to live that's unsuitable. I will continue to go out of my way to visually ins...

Re: CPAP Mask Wipes

Did it look something like that? Why, yes, it did. The only difference in my case is that I struggled so much that I eventually got in very deep. http://imageshack.us/a/img152/5580/22550010150180502762454.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img831/5305/22691010150180505097454.jpg Such wonderful memories.

Re: CPAP Mask Wipes

I used to use the Citrus wipes, not on a daily basis, but it was nice to use occasionally between cleanings. But the last time I used them I had a bad experience. The wipe didn't rip off correctly and the next one fell just inside the container. Then, without thinking, I stuck my finger in to pull i...

Unwelcome participants in my CPAP therapy

Some months ago my wife and I moved into our rental cottage in the country and discovered there are a lot of spiders here. After a few weeks work we reduced the population, and I started putting glue traps by the doors that also caught a lot when they came in from outside. Fortunately, the black wid...

Re: AHI stuck at 0.0?

Thanks to everyone for the numerous replies. The old turn it off and on trick worked. I don't know why I didn't do this first before posting as it seems as every element of our lives gets chipped that it is the first step in diagnosing problems. Except with airplanes, I suppose.

AHI stuck at 0.0?

Hi. Haven't been in the forums for a while and when I looked at my first post, I realized I've been on CPAP therapy for over a year. Time sure flies. I don't look at my data on the computer and in fact don't even regularly check the stats on the machine. Maybe once a week or so. But over the last fe...

Re: Pillow help needed! Neck ache!

On buckwheat pillows: I have used one for years. I'm sure there is noise when I move but I don't really pay attention to it. One thing I like about it is that I can shape it so that it provides more support under my neck. Of course after being on it all night, the buckwheat does shift, so it won't s...

Re: Newly diagnosed - what am I doing wrong?

Like some other poster suggested, could it be that your nose always ends up being somewhat stuffed early in the morning, and that you're noticing it now because you have to breath through it? The neti pot has worked for me but in a situation where I needed to have my sinuses clear at night, before I...
