Re: Help! Can no longer get health insurance due to CPAP?!??!
With tongue firmly in cheek... It's really simple. Now that you have OSA and use CPAP, they know you that one day you will get sick and die. Without the diagnosis, they wouldn't know this, see? I'm glad I got my extra life insurance a couple of years ago, because something tells me that would be den...

Hints about protecting equipment from kids
I've been on CPAP for about 10 days and it's going smoothly, at least as far as I can tell. However, my wife and kids have been at her parent for this entire time and will be returning this week. I had hoped to use this time to adjust to the equipment, which I have. However, my youngest kid is 18 mo...

Re: Newbie with AHI question
Snoreguy, did your doctor explain where he is gathering data he has confidence in, since he believes the data off your machine is not reliable? I'm just curious... Well, to say he doesn't have confidence in the data may be stating it too strong. Specifically, I asked him about the number of central...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
10 days in. I don't know that I feel that much different, but I didn't really feel bad before. That said, it really only took me a couple of nights to adapt to the mask and now I actually look forward to it. Strange. I don't even notice the air blowing up my nose any more. I've still got some mask i...

Re: Newbie with AHI question
I'm about 10 days into this journey, and my AHI numbers are usually between 5 and 10. When I look at the detailed data, it looks like most of my events are happening within about 30 minutes of putting the mask on. I'm sure that for most of the time I'm not really asleep and probably fidgeting around...

Re: S9 Users: Get more sleep details on your LCD screen
Don't forget that you can scroll using the knob to see more numbers. Also, when in this view, the top line shows the time period for the numbers. Most likely it says "1 day", but if you push the knob, you can adjust this to 1 week, 1 month, etc. Then the average numbers for that period are displayed...

Re: Question about SD card for s9
Ok, Topdragster, I pulled the new SD card out of my s9 this morning and slapped it in my laptop and everything is good to go even the detailed charts. Thanks again, Mike Mike, Did you have to do anything special to get the detailed charts? All I can see are summary charts. I don't remember the exac...

Re: The adventure is about to begin....
I hear what you are saying, and it may turn out to be the best thing. My point is that with three nights on the machine, only two of which were really of any quality, it's a bit early to determine anything. At this point, the next change I see coming is the mask. My follow up with the doc is Tuesday...

Re: The adventure is about to begin....
I'd rather not go to Ambien unless it is absolutely needed. Normally, I would have taken some melatonin, but we didn't have any in the house. I don't normally need anything to help me get to sleep, and don't plan on making a habit of it. I should add that I woke up about 3 am, adjusted the mask a bi...

Re: S9: Please Wait....Erasing SD Card Data
Okay, I guess my question then is what data is stored on the S9 and what data is stored in the data card? Is the data card the main storage for the machine? Does the machine only store compliance and not the other details (AHI, leakage, etc.)? My machine ereased my card last night. Now, this morning...

Re: The adventure is about to begin....
Night 2: 8.6 hours 7.2 leackage 3.6 AHI I took a Benedryl to help me get to sleep, so maybe I cheated a bit. The most distracting thing has been my tendency to focus on my breathing. I was pretty tired last night after not getting much sleep the night before. We'll see how tonight goes. Still more m...

Re: S9: Please Wait....Erasing SD Card Data
I read your comment about this earlier, but was hoping there was another solution. I don't understand why the card should need to be reformatted.greg-g wrote:No one has been backing me up, but I've had this problem several times. I reformat the card in my computer and it solves the issue.

Re: S9: Please Wait....Erasing SD Card Data
I just got the same message after opening up the care using the ResScan software. Odd, before installing the software, I installed the card in my computer and was able to see the files, but upon putting it back in the S9, just got the "Reading data from card" message. I've only got one night of data...

Re: The adventure is about to begin....
Snoreguy, You might want to check at the end of the year if your insurance will buy out the last few months of the buying period. In January of this year my payments went from $20.00 a month to $120.00 a month because the deductable starts over at the beginning of the year. I ended up paying $360.0...

Re: The adventure is about to begin....
Night one is done.... If I'm nothing else, I'm stubborn. For better or worse, I was determined to make it through the night with this thing strapped to my head. At around 10 pm I filled the water tank, turned it on, put on the mask and tried to sleep. I found that I adjusted to the constant blowing ...
