Re: Need help with new mask & rain out

Well, I tried the suggestions by my DME last night and immediate rain out occurred. Then I maxed out the temp at 86 degrees on my machine and I still had rain out. I do believe that it is being caused by my own breath when I exhale. This mask does not appear to have very good exhilation ports I swit...

Re: Need help with new mask & rain out

Thanks for the suggestions. I do believe that the overall footprint of the comfort gel mask is smaller than the footprint of the Zest mask. Also, I think there are fewer exhilation ports in the comfort gel mask than the Zest and the ports on the comfort gel are much further down the connector tube t...

Need help with new mask & rain out

While I am new to this forum, I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago so I am not new to using my machine or having a mask that works for me. First I have the S9 Elite with heated humidifier and climate control hose. Until recently I had been doing very well with the Fisher and Paykel Zest mask. However,...

Re: newbie liberty help - stupid question

Thanks. I feel really stupid. I tried and tried and could not seem to get that gray piece out off of the end of my hose. I finally was able to pry it off and now everything fits just fine. Thanks again.

Re: newbie liberty help - stupid question

My old mask the mirage quattro had a its own quick connect that fit into my hose just fine. That is still with my old mask. The connector with my liberty is long and smooth and slightly tapered. It will only fit into the end of my climate line hose part of the way. The connector on my hose has ridge...

Re: newbie liberty help - stupid question

Thanks for the reply.

My mask did come with a short hose with a swivel connector, but the swivel connector is too long and wide to fit into the climate line hose connector

newbie liberty help - stupid question

I just got the Resmed Liberty mask to try from my DME this afternoon. One problem - My climate line hose will not connect to the mask. Do I need some sort of adapter? What am I missing here? Can anyone tell me how I get my mask to connect to my hose? I really didn't think it would be that difficult....

Re: Newbie - problems adjusting Help!

Here is an update on where things stand. I met with an ENT who turned out to be a real jerk. He spent most of his less than 5 minutes with me grilling me and lecturing me about my weight. He completely ignored any questions I asked, barely looked in my nose or my mouth, told me to schedule allergy t...

Re: Newbie - problems adjusting Help!

By the way I forgot to mention that I have turned the temperature down on my climate line to 65 and purchased some Biotene mouth wash to assist with the cotton mouth at night. This seems to have helped me some. On another note I did try a nasal rinse and I still had issues. Some of the solution came...

Re: Newbie - problems adjusting Help!

Just thought I would post an update. I had my visit with an ENT yesterday. It did not go well. He only saw me for 5 minutes or so. Most of the time he spent lecturing me about my weight. He did not really answer or address any of my questions, and just took a very quick look in my nose. Did not disc...

Re: Newbie - problems adjusting Help!

Thanks to all for the encouragement. I spoke with my contact at the sleep clinic last night - and after some discussions regarding my sinus issues and mask issues he has suggested I see an ENT to check out some of my sinus issues. There seems to be some blockage in my sinus cavaties that is preventi...

Re: Newbie - problems adjusting Help!

Thanks for all the support. My DME is actually the director of the sleep clinic that handled the study. He had the equipment for me, mask, hose etc. Set the machine with me, had me try the mask on while I was there and show me how to use it and make me sign my life away for it. I was supposed to als...

Newbie - problems adjusting Help!

Hi, I am new to all of this. Was just diagnosed a couple of weeks ago and have been on my own with my machine for just over a week. I am having extreme difficulties adjusting to the mask and sleeping with the mask. I am using the S9 Elite with climate line. My pressure level is 10. I have the mirrag...

Newbie - help with Resmed S9 Elite

Hi, I just received my Resmed S9 Elite 2 days ago. I am still having trouble sleeping with the unit and mask, but I slept with the mask the first night for at least 3 hours and the machine shows 0 hours. I tried to search through the posts to find out what was wrong and saw where some people talked ...
