Re: Reducing pressure setting
Because in the cases of so many here who've lost some weight and then had a new test done, while they might need less pressure to open their airways, they still end up needing Cpap except in rare cases where they e.g. lost 100 lbs, had stomach stapling, or possibly only had 'positional' or very mil...

Re: Reducing pressure setting
Hi folks, ive tried different searches and i just cant seem to find what i am looking for. howdy. you don't list a machine in your sig, just a mask. i'll assume you have a sleepyhead compatible machine. while you aren't a newbie, perhaps reading here will get you up to speed- http://www.cpaptalk.co...

Re: Reducing pressure setting
By "6 and 10" are you saying you're using an auto range of 6 to 10? Some things to consider... Having any AHI at all means something measurable (though negligible in the big picture) was able to slip past the machines defenses. If your pressure rises above 6 at all, it is in response to something i...

Reducing pressure setting
Hi folks, ive tried different searches and i just cant seem to find what i am looking for. My ahi for the last year is 0.2. Pressure is set to 6 and 10. My friend is in a similar situation. Any thoughts regarding lowering my pressure to see if my AHI creeps back up? Tia

Re: Advice after searching and not finding relevant posts
interesting response and thank you. Rise is between 100 and 900 ms. I wouldn't have thought moving something from a .6 of a second to say .7 of a second could make much of a difference. I need to go fiddle with this.

Advice after searching and not finding relevant posts
Hello CPAPers, I could use a some suggestions. I have used a bipap for many years. Settings: IPAP 10 EPAP 6 Rise 600ms TiMax 4.0 TiMin .5 Monthly AHI 1.0 Lately, I feel like there is too much pressure and my time between inhale and exhale seems slower that what the bipap expects. I have a hard time ...

Re: resmed vpap s s9 tech support
Thanks everyone for their input. I haven't watched the video yet.
I have two machines, this s9 vpap s is a new one.
When I see the AHI reported, turning the knob or holding the knob down does not change anything on the screen.

resmed vpap s s9 tech support
Hi Folks, I think either missing something or doing something wrong with my new S9. I have a data card. I have the sleep quality on. I have held down the info and setup button until the screen flashed. However, the only report I get is nightly AHI reading. I cannot seem to get the details screen. An...

comparing resmed vpap s S8 and S9
Hello, Does anybody happen to have both a S8 and a S9? I recently purchased a cheap, used S8 but ended up receiving a S9. It was only used for 3 hours and about 75% off of list. I want to compare my findings with anyone else. First, this unit is lighter in weight. Second, it is much quieter. Third, ...

Re: Comparing Notes from Bipap to Cpap?
Thanks for your reply. It was helpful.
I'll have to look around to see if the Elite II interface will tell me 90/95%. As for me and my bibap, my ahi's are about .8 to 1.0. Have a great day.

Comparing Notes from Bipap to Cpap?
Hello everyone, I need someone to "read me in" on auto CPAP's. I have been a successful bipap user, but I have an aunt using a Resmed, Elite II, CPAP on auto set. I am trying to help her follow the holy grail of reducing AHI's to 0. My simple life's view is increase or adjust pressure until AHI's dr...
