Re: Pulse Ox with History - Can't find one...
Forgot to mention something else - does your machine report any troublesome duration of events that occur? This is a long shot, but have you seen an opthamologist lately? Some studies indicate increased eye pressures in apnea patients, other reports suggest increased eye pressure with CPAP use. May...

Re: Pulse Ox with History - Can't find one...
Hi Ted Your profile states you have a S9 Autoset. If you use Sleepyhead (or ResScan) software, you can look and see each and every breath you took last night. You can see if your mask is delivering therapy, or is it leaking excessively. It shows when you have apneas, when you're having periods of s...

Re: Pulse Ox with History - Can't find one...
I too have the CMS-50F wrist model, and like it. Be careful though of the newest version of the 50F, as the pulseox store states that it is not compatible with Sleepyhead. Other models on the page state they're not compatible with Mac's as well. Refer to the url I mentioned above. -Bill Thanks all ...

Pulse Ox with History - Can't find one...
Hey All, Still continuing to struggle for the past many months (after high initial success). My numbers on the Resmed S9 (with humidifier) are excellent with no reported leaks to speak of but still continuing to deal with some daytime drowsiness and waking headaches on the top of head directly behin...

Re: machine question
When you plug in the hose and rotate the electrical fitting to mesh with the mating fitting on the back of the humidifier until it clicks, the display will say 'climate control enabled'. Done. (you DID remove the black cover from the little gizmo below the hose fitting?) I've typically seen the aut...

Re: Res med S9 humidity and temperature settings
Tonight is humid, temperature will drop to the 60's. What is the ideal manuel humidity setting for the S9? I like 80 degrees for the temperature. Will 5 work for the humidity setting? I always have to leave mine at half of yours, otherwise I feel like I'm drowning near morning. One thing I haven't ...

Re: Feeling unfreshed, almost like starting over...
The followup sleep study is a good idea. I'd ask them if you could do part night on your current settings and then part split for titrating if they're seeing anything? If they just straight up re-titrate you the whole night, it won't show you current situation IMO. It would be a good idea to get so...

Feeling unfreshed, almost like starting over...
Hi all, I've seen this topic several times prior but it goes in many directions. I know now that I was undiagnosed with sleep apnea for at least 1.5 to 2 years. I am a 2+ year CPAP user diagnosed with severe OSA (78 events per hour at my initial sleep study). I feel alot better than before CPAP ther...

Re: Bruxism ( teeth grinding and clenching) solutions?
GG - I clench my teeth when I sleep and can tell in the morning by the tightness in my jaws. I don't believe I grind at all. I recently went to see my dentist for a semi-annual checkup. I did report severe heat/cold sensitivity on an upper molar and was aware that I had noticeable gum recession ther...

Re: What Type of SD Card do I need for my ResMed S9 AutoSet
The S9's can't handle the higher capacity SD cards (at least not with the current S9 firmware). I believe it should be able to handle up to a 2GB SD card max. When I checked some computer backups of my card at various dates, the maximum amount of data on them was just under 26MB. If you can find a 5...

Re: help with soft gel mask.
Same with me for the EPR... I will have to give it a try w/o it. Thanks for the suggestion too!don56 wrote:jmelby,
I've never not used the EPR on my machine but you might be right on that "billowing" effect. I might experiment with it a little. Thanks

Re: help with soft gel mask.
You could try the Activa LT cushion as it fits on the same frame as the soft gel... I prefer it because it is so much lighter and I get a better seal. I never get marks--the key to the Activa cushion is to wear it relatively loosely and let the pressure bellow it out to make the seal against your f...

Re: Does your DME give you all 3 S/M/L pillows with Swift FX?
DME's charge for individual parts because they make more money than a mask "package" where everything comes together. This is really cheating, but the insurance companies don't seem to see this as a problem. However, the reality is that they are often providing you with the package deal that they b...

Does your DME give you all 3 S/M/L pillows with Swift FX?
Greetings all... I've been a CPAP/Swift FX user for about 9 months now. I've been dealing with what appears to be a consistent issue among Swift FX users here. I've been getting about a month's worth of use out of my FX pillows before I struggle with leaks. It seems as time progresses, the material ...

Re: I have a miserable cold. Need tips.
Sinus rinse (neti pot or NeilMed squeeze bottle) with saline solution. My pulmonologist suggested a Neti pot or NeilMed squeeze bottle since I suffer from seasonal allergies as well. I've been using the squeeze bottle daily for the past few months and have gotten a favorable result. I'm much less c...
