Re: NEW S9
They were 10-15 seconds long and the pressure was at the high limit during the event. I don't know if the event triggered the increased pressure or if the event triggered the increase in pressure?

NEW S9
I have been on the S9 for a couple of weeks now and really like it over the S8. I notice much fewer hypopnea events and I have kept my total apnea events to about 6 per night. These 6 are all central events; last night I even went 7 hours before I had a slew of events late in the morning before I wo...

Question on ResCan software
When I look at the detailed view and it shows me the hours and the apnea flags, are these the actual events that I had during that period of time? I told my sleep doc that I am down to 12 events a night and she said "you mean an hour?" I said no the detailed view shows me each event I had for the en...

Good results with ResMed S9
Well I have had a few nights on the S9 and set it to 7.8-9.8 in auto set mode. I had only 6 apnea events last night and 5 were central and 1 was obstructive. One thing I have noticed is that I don't have any hypopneas anymore? I wonder if this is due to the autoset mode which is keeping my pressure ...

Re: bi-pap or auto set
Sorry I thought the autoset mode was the same as a bipap. My question was this: Someone told me that if I am going to switch from Cpap to autoset mode; the lower end number was the crucial number. So when I set it to autoset; should I keep the lower number at my cpap setting of 8.2 or is it OK to lo...

bi-pap or auto set
I have heard that the lower setting on the bipap is important? If my CPAP setting is usually 8.2 is it important to keep the lower pressure setting at 8.2 or can I lower it to 7.2? I don't want too radical of a swing but while falling a sleep it might be more comfortable at the lower setting and let...

S9 climate line
Hellow; I am going to use the climateline with my new S9 auto-set device. Two nights ago on my S8 I turned down the humidity and heater to 1.0 and I woke up sneezing for the next two days because the air was too dry but I was concerned about rainout. If I use the climateline tubing and set it to aut...

Re: First night on S9
Turning Sleep Quality to the "On" setting tells the machine to write all the data it collects to the SD card and report what it shows on the LCD screen for patient viewing. There are only 2 choices...Usage and On. If you are using the Swift FX nasal pillows then you need to make the mask selection ...

First night on S9
OK I just got my S9 in and I am ready for my first night!!! I set the CPAP to the usual 8.2 and the auto-set to 7.6 and 8.8. I think I will try the CPAP for the first night and then the auto-set the second night. A few questions: Sleep Quality; I set this to ON. Is this the best setting that display...

Re: Memory SD card and ResMed S9
Thanks John;
Do the SDHC cards sat SD or are they clearly marked as SDHC? To me SD seems to have become a generic term sort of like Xerox was for all copy machines.

Re: Memory SD card and ResMed S9
I use 2 GB SanDisk which costs about $12 at Walgreens, or from Amazon (plus S&H). The problems that I have experienced with these cards don't have to do with the card's capacity but with their quality and the frequency that I stick the cards in and pull out from the XPAP. Those cards can't take man...

Re: new to autoset
Great does lower end number used for when I am breathing fine and the higher end for when machine detects me not breathing so it gives my lungs a boost or wake up call to start breathing?
