Thank you CPAP. Success story

Excellent inquiry. Over fifteen years ago I began having 10-30 minute episodes in which I blanked out while sitting. It was like the clock advanced suddenly. I wasn't tired, there was no yawning, and energy was good. It was freaky. My GF said I snore at night. A friend gave me his old Phillips CPAP ...

Just made a perfect one page print (Mac)

Used comamd - shift - 4. to make a screenshot of the stat page and the two device entries, then opened the screenshot in Preview, and printed that one page. Perfect!! The data was more readable, fit one one page, and filled the page. If it didn't, the percent was available and could be adjusted.

Barren print dialogue box using OSCAR.

Top screenshot = OSCAR
Bottom screenshot =. Safari browser

If I could make the OSCAR stat page print at 130% it would look much better and fill the first page.

Forces two pages. No preview in print dialogue box.

It splits onto two pages both pdf and print. Device settings and changes to device go onto the second page. I could take a screenshot of the stat page and that would look better. Also, OSCAR doesn't allow the print preview on the print screen. All other apps allow the preview. Is this a "bug" ? Also...

How to print or pdf best form of OSCAR report

OSCAR is excellent, and my sleep doc wants a "report" for compliance. When I try to print the first/statisctics page, it is not correct. Which pages to print and make an appropriate acceptable report?

ResMed AirSense 10 new but five years old. Okay?

My insurance company paid for a new CPAP from a DME. It was in the ResMed box, looked new, and had zero hours use. It works well. After using it for three weeks, I noted the serial number of "xx21xxxxx" meaning it was manufactured in in 2021, five years ago. Has this ever happened to you? Would you ...

Since you have removed the humidifier, you really don't have to do anything.
Excellent point. He could also wrap several loops of electrical tape around the exit before re-attaching the existing hose, making a tighter fit.

Re: Using resmed S9 without the humidifier

Is there a way in the settings to turn off the humidifier myself? I don't want to use any water. I had detached the humidifier from the rest of the S9 unit, but the climate line tubing hose won't stay in tightly when I connect it into the other part of the unit. I'd also like to turn off the heat f...

Good article on longevity and importance of sleep

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/28/andrew-steele-how-to-fight-aging-and-live-healthier.html My sleep docs have always stated 7.5 hours is optimal for the vast majority of adults, and to avoid naps. If one naps, it should be under 30 minutes. There are about 16 rules to enhance good sleep. Love the one ...

Reminds one of the famous quotes, consistent with surgeries done, sometimes needlessly:

A chance to cut is a chance to cure

The patient won't heal without the steel

So hydrate and operate

Re: Sleep apnea and deviated septum

@physician thanks for feedback. I have tried using Afrin before. It clears up my nose for sure. But then rebounds badly the next day even more blocked than the first time. Even after using it once. So I dont use it at all. Then use it concommitantly with Flonase** or Nasocort, and stop the Afrin af...

Re: Sleep apnea and deviated septum

A buddy had this same nasal obstruction. His doc told him In order to determine what percent of the problem is due to turbinate hypertrophy, try over-the-counter Afrin nasal spray which has oxymetazoline. Proper use is important. Blow your nose completely then one-two sprays each nostril. Wait 1/2 h...
