Re: Unknown Data Problem in Rescan
Posting here in hopes of not duplicating thread topics. I have a several-years old version of the ResMed software to download and view my data. It's been months since my last download, but I have never had a problem doing so. I brought my machine in to be checked for pressure, as I had a sudden unex...

Re: Face cream and cpap . . . DON'T!
Maybe it's just "too much of anything can cause seal problems," because I have the opposite issue. Oily skin, use an astringent, never a moisturizer (though sometimes acne treatment, nothing caustic where my mask goes anymore). If I use too alcoholic an astringent and get more oil off of my skin, t...

Re: Extreme Dryness
I have been experiencing dryness too, in the last week or two. Never a problem before (started CPAP in Aug). Waking up with my throat in particular, hairy dry. Need...water.. With ResMed 9, does the machine adjust itself to maintain a chosen humidity level? Or is the output static, and has to be adj...

Re: Swift LT for Her whistling
That was my problem exactly! Used a trial Swift LT for a few nights. Loved the comfort, but geez the whistling coming from my one nostril! Drove me batty! I expressed the same issue, and all my attempts at adjusting did not seem to help. I suppose it's *possible* that the trial pillows were older? D...

Re: Booze and apnea
Guess I'm the odd duck here. I have not found having evening drinks) raised my events. If anything, those numbers as well as leaks are lower. I chalked it up to perhaps sleeping more deeply, less tossing and turning.

Re: Feel like I'm drowning and very short of breath.
Also if you switch between a nasal pillow and nasal mask, you would need to ensure you change your machine settings to the type you are using (assuming that option is also available on your machine) so it will adjust the pressure accordingly.

Re: Just Performed Surgery on Mask - Hoping for No Regrets
Well, i have to say it was MUCH more comfortable to wear last night, lots less waking to adjust its position. I could not feel or hear any noticable leaks. Due to an error on my part, I did not collect last night's data (when I wanted it most!) but will see how tonight turns out report-wise, and let...

S9/ResScan Saved Data for Nap But Not That Night's Sleep
I had a short nap late yesterday afternoon. The data was collected and stored on my card. Card securely replaced in the machine, and left in place to write for awhile after waking this morning as per usual. When I went to review last night's sleep, I was surprised to see it not recorded at all. (I m...

Re: First night with CPAP
Oh man, had a past experience with duct tape on skin, not pretty. lol Way to go kb1, glad it's going well for you. Yes, figure out what works for you to sleep comfortably and track it in your data. I know of what you speak, traveling with the distilled water. My last trip I just used an empty standa...

Courage, or temporary insanity? Like gold is right, but you do have a point about it being worthless if it's too uncomfortable to wear.
