Re: Way to go you Idiots

This place is an AWESOME resource for those that need it. It's the one place that gives me hope that I can get my apnea under control.

Re: Apple Watch sleep tracker app

I just really want to try the wake me in my lightest sleep idea. Tried it with my phone last night and was actually very surprised when I didn't wake up like a zombie today.

Re: Apple Watch sleep tracker app

Windcpap agree and disagree. Accuracy nope. Alarm on my wrist that gently wakes me instead of blaring alarm yes. I don't really need a graph. My machine is old and is a pain to get any software on.

Apple Watch sleep tracker app

Wife gave me an Apple Watch for Christmas. Anyone know of a good sleep "tracker" app? I have downloaded a few but no luck so far. I am really looking for a watch app that has an alarm that will wake me in my lightest sleep cycle along with a graph of somewhat sorta what my sleep pattern is.

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery

My ENT never said she advised against it. She said she sees many adults a year and typically out of the few hundred adults she sees only 5 are truly surgery candidates where they would see some sort of benefit. She said I would be considered one of those 5. My tonsils are closer to the center of my ...

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery

As to the failure rates I have not been able to find any recent studies. Has anyone found anything done the past few years?

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery

Explain what you mean by grief? I read where some people have issues with food and drink coming out of their noses.

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery

After the second study the nurse even mentioned I did not need the autosv and could have used a bipap instead. So I was able to spend 3-4k out of pocket instead of 1k.

I was really happy when I heard that.

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery

Chicago I appreciate all of your input. My initial study had 319 respiratory events with OAI of 91.4, CAI of 2.6, and HI of 38.1 for a total of 132.1. This was in 209 minutes of sleep. I was prescribed a Resmed AutoSv. The pressure was set to 30/10. I wore it off and on for 3 years or so. I have tri...

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery

I have always had issues with the size of my tonsils. The main purpose for the surgery is I think I get Strep often but do not show symptoms other than a sore throat. With a 3 year old and 6 week old it's also so I can open my airway up and breath a bit better when chasing them around. I also occasi...

Re: *UPDATE* 1.5 years on ASV with NO RELIEF

I'm back. Since the last reply I have switched over to a Whisp. I tape my mouth shut ms wear a breath right and while not perfect it's much much better. A few questions: Pugsy, The machine you linked above is the machine I have. As far as data collection I guess I am stuck with the respironics softw...
