Mask recomendation - (soon to be Former)Mirage Micro user
Hey Guys, I have exhausted my supply of mirage micro supplies. I finally found a DME that works with my insurance to get new supplies (been slowly using what I've had for a while). They told me the Mirage Micro is discontinued and I can't get supplies for it. (headgear & cushions, etc) I know I can ...

VPAP ASV --> Aircurve 10 ASV upgrade complete
Hey, i picked up my Aircurve 10 ASV yesterday. After using the Vpap ASV for 5 years, this was quite an upgrade. The first thing that struck me when i picked it up was its size and weight. Traveling with my old machine was basically carrying a mid size carry on suitcase. The new machine, everything f...

Aircurve 10 AVS - Apt for Delivery next week
Hey Y'all, I havn't been very active here since the first year after I started my road down ASV almost 5 years ago. Thanks to Y'all, I was able to tweak my V-Pap ASV so my AHI now averages 2, on my sleep test, it was 146. Thank-you for you initial support, without y'all I would have given up. Now on...

Re: Plane travel questions!
If your. Machine gets screened by hand ask the TSA Agent nicely to use fresh gloves. As I have traveled I find the big airports (atlanta, vegas, NY) will let it go through, no problems, you don't need to take it out. Mid size or smaller (Houston, st lewis, Denver)will be an ordeal. I always call the...

FS - F&P Forma FFM w/ Med & Large Cushions - Make an offer
I have a F&P Forma FFM that was used for maybe an hour before I decided it wasn't for me, it's about 2 years old, been sitting in the travel pouch in original box ever since the day after after I got it. The large cushion is still in the sealed pouch. Comes with manuals and whatever that it shipped ...

Re: Doc Says I'm In Serious Trouble (Long Post) - Need Advice
Bazzy, Welcome to the Forum!!! My story is a little different, as I was having Central Apneas, but my AHI was 140 (140 times per hour times a 6 hours sleep study is 840) So I know how scary those big numbers are. My O2 sats did not get as low as yours, but this all came to my attention after I spent...

Re: OT: Teens and Cell Phones
I recommend Y'all check out kajeet.com It is a prepaid cell service for kids. It has parental controls on calls and texting including limiting the time and days of the week they can text or make calls, with exceptions eg. Allow calls/text to mom and dad all the time, no other texting or calling duri...

Re: Blood Pressure
I can't comment on a lot of the above, but I can share my experience. My sleep study was recommended by my cardiologist after after 2 months on three (3) combines BP meds and increases of dosages did not make by BP go down (was regularly 160/100). Less than 3 weeks after I started VPAP, I was at the...

Re: Short term Success, medium term...Struggling...
Thanks for the encouragement, I've sent a similar e-mail to my initial post to my Resp Therapist at my DME, but she is out of town (Vacation message), So I'm not sure if I will get anywhere for a few more days. I Have my equipment in my Profile, not sure if it's not displaying for some reason, so he...

Short term Success, medium term...Struggling...
Greetings, I've been on VPAP therapy for about 7 weeks, and at first, things went really well, but the last 5 days have been miserable!!! I've lost about 10 lbs, and my BP is down, but I've slept in the last 5 days! All of a sudden my mast is leaking and waking me up blowing in my eyes, or making no...

Re: Central Apeneas Dominant
Just a quick note of experience from someone with Complex Sleep Apnea, My AHI during my diagnostic study was 117, with 0 Obstructive, 50 Hypopneas and 67 centrals an hour. I did a titration on a bi-pap and my AHI was only down to the 60's, again, 0 obstructive. I then did an ASV titration and now ha...

Re: Any Adapt SV Data Experts?
Hey , My prescription on the Resmed Adapt SV just said EPAP 6 IPAP +7 or (6/13). There was no Max pressure on the RX, it is set at machine default of +15 (or 6+15=21) I Did a titration on a Bi-pap and my AHI went from 117 (No machine, 1 OA, the balance were Centrals & Hypopneas) to 87 (Again all cen...
