I recently went to Denver on holiday and I only took one mask, the Swift! It was sink or swim with only having one mask to depend on while traveling. I found that not only does the Swift come in a really cool little travel case, but it is very, very easy to wear. I did some comparisons before I left....

Steve, Welcome to cpap.com. Finding the right mask is somthing like finding the Holy Grail. I have tried more than 30 masks, and I have to say that the Puritan Bennett Breeze with both sizes of pillows (Medium and Large), works best for me. I did recently buy a Resmed Swift and it is somewhat like t...

Is a snore good?
Snoring on cpap may mean that his pressure is too low. Some people say it is normal for people to continue to snore on cpap, but after working as a Polysomnographic Techologist, I would have to say that snoring is not the norm. You should contact your sleep clinic and explain the situation. It may b...

I always take my cpap as a carry-on. I have never had any issues going through security. What I do is keep the manual in the pocket of the cpap carry case. If anyone were to question me, I would pull the manual out and show them. There are so many people using cpap these days that I think that secur...

ResMed Swift Nasal Mask
Hi Folks, I just received the Resmed Mirage Swift. It is a fabulous mask. There are three pillow sleeves that come with the Swift. I use the large size. It reminds me of a breeze nasal pillow, it has the same feel. The headgear is very simple and doesn't mess up the front of my hair, like the breeze...

Bloating from cpap is called aerophagia. It is an awfull feeling to feel all gassy the next day. Gas you can't get rid of, lol. It comes from resistance to pressure when you exhale. Your pressure of 13cm may be the reason you feel this way. Aerophagia is not something you get used to. There are step...

Nasal Pillows
Mommydear, I am an avid fan of nasal pillows. I use the Breeze mask that is made by Puritan Bennett. They have redesigned this mask and now it is even better than before. The nasal pillows barely go into your nose and the seal is easy to keep. If you are a side sleeper you would really appreciate us...

I had a patient in the sleep lab in for a re-titration. He used a Respironics Remstar Pro because he was a trucker and had to turn in his smart card to the DOT ever so often. I guess the government is really cracking down on sleepy tuckers. I feel bad that he has to go through the extra hassle to ke...
