Re: Changing from CPAP to Autoset setting conversation?

I mean what would be a good baseline for settings for me? My current CPAP settings are 9.5. Should I try say 7.5 to 11.5? I just am not sure on a good baseline.

We are going to download Oscar to keep records of my sleeping.

Re: Replace apap with a CPAP?

.That is high, go to cpap.com. Per my post above they have brand new APAP machines for $400 - 500 that sound like they could be close enough to your budget range given that $350 could work for you. My wife and I found a beautiful condition Airsense 10 for $100 and she bought a new heated hose for i...

Re: Replace apap with a CPAP?

My wife has a Resvent Ibreeze 20 set in apap mode. She has to return it to the company leasing it to her because she honestly is bad about keeping the mask on so she isn't using it as much as she should be. So we are going to purchase a replacement machine for her but I'm finding out that mainly cp...

Changing from CPAP to Autoset setting conversation?

I have an old bipap machine that used to be my late wife's, a Phillips Bi-Flex that I just set both settings to 9.5 since I never was prescribed a bipap machine or bipap settings. I bought a replacement Resmed S9 and I want to make use of the Autoset settings. What should I try as a good starting po...

Re: Replace apap with a CPAP?

I honestly don't have much more info. I was just going to buy a used machine like hers and duplicate the same settings using the clinical mode. Since hers is on apap mode, I was going to set the same settings on the replacement machine. I found the same machine as hers locally used but the seller is...

Re: Can i use my wife's bi-pap to replace my c-pap machine?

Also the model number is 650P.

And no matter what anyone says, there is no MODE option at all before the options to set the 2 bipap pressures.

Re: Can i use my wife's bi-pap to replace my c-pap machine?

For the record, I believe we got the machine in mid-late 2009, I believe that is what her medical company told her when we had it serviced back in may.

Anyway, it is version 1.24 which is shown when it boots up.

Re: Can i use my wife's bi-pap to replace my c-pap machine?

Well I'm pretty sure I'm in the clinical menu. Otherwise how would I be able to change the pressures? Or is there a 3rd deeper menu option set that has more options than the normal clinical options? But yeah, the option for "MODE" is not present at all in the menu section that I am in when I program...

Re: Can i use my wife's bi-pap to replace my c-pap machine?

Thanks, I will do that.

Is there anything else I should do as well? I just want to make sure that I'm using her machine to the best of its capabilities.

Re: Can i use my wife's bi-pap to replace my c-pap machine?

Well apparently my model does NOT have the cpap mode. There is no mode options available in the provider menu. I just don't have the mode option at all. Went though all the options too.

So since I'm stuck in the bi-pap mode, can I still set it so that it works like a c-pap?

Can i use my wife's bi-pap to replace my c-pap machine?

My wife died a few months ago. At the time of her passing, her medical equipment company had just finished refurbishing her bi-pap machine by replacing much of the guts of it so it is pretty much new. Now I have an older Remstar pro c-pap machine that I use that is set to 9.5. The problem with my ma...

Thank you for all the advice. I shall see if it helps and I will look into the heated reptiles.

Re: I wake up with water on my face, wet feeling.

Rainout? is that the term for it?

I really do feel better sleeping with the humidfier. I notice a difference.

What does a heated hose do and are they expensive? I got my machine for 12 bux at the thrift so I'm kind of on a serious budget lately.

I wake up with water on my face, wet feeling.

I have never had a humidifier on my old cpap machines in the last 15+years of using one. A few days ago, I got a really nice 400m with a built in humidfier and people here were kind enough to show me how to program it to be the same numbers as my old machine. Problem is that I wake up early in the m...
