I'm a 35 year old guy, 5' 10" and about 230 the last time I weighed myself. I've been losing weight due to exercise and limiting my portions.

Minerva, I agree with Sleepless on LI...the quest to find a mask that is "perfect" is almost unrealistic. I agree that the best thing we can do is to find one that is "as good as it gets" until the companies can make custom masks or find some way of making ones that fits more than just the "average"...

Hi Mike! I'm not too sure that I will be very helpful, but wanted to respond. You mentioned that a plastic/reconstructive doc told you about the apnea, if I remember correctly. Was your reconstruction successful? Apnea can be made worse by a deviated septum and a trip back to that doc or to a ear/no...

brasshopper, I'm glad that you were able to get the Cymbalta from your doc. I hope that you notice a favorable change with regard to your pain. I was sorry that I couldn't tolerate it because I've heard that it's quite a good antidepressant without the "foggy" feelings/drowsiness. For what it's wort...

I'm sorry that you're having eye problems. I would agree that it's likely due to air leaking into your eyes plus allergy/sinus problems. Cold compresses applied to your eyes and face are helpful for the swelling and discomfort. I like cold water, a frozen bag of peas, or one of those rice bags cold ...

When I visit a manufacturer's website, I am usually looking for new product information and/or OSA news. I would like to see spec sheets and/or manuals. For interfaces, I appreciate actual sizes and the ability to download sizing template/gauges. I would also like to see links to clinical studies, u...

I mostly use a full face mask, but do switch back and forth between it and the ComfortLite 2. When I use the CL2, I use the direct seal with some Ayr Gel applied to the mask itself and that seems to decrease and/or eliminate soreness.

I also tried Cymbalta, but had to discontinue it due to side effects: insomnia and anxiety. I've been reading a lot about supplements and am going to try alpha-lipoic acid and acetyl-l-carnatine for neuropathy, among other issues that I have which are related to multiple sclerosis. Alpha-lipoic acid...

Rested gal, Thanks so much for clearing up my confusion! I mistakenly thought that "compliance off" meant that the machine would not collect data. I'm *very* glad that you explained it to me. Thanks also for the links to -SWS's posts! I looked at some of his posts after you mentioned them in another...

Goodknight 420E / Silverlining questions

Hello! I recently received a PB 420E APAP and just started using the Silverlining software. Can anybody tell me if the compliance is ON by default, or if it has to be turned on manually? Also, could anybody shed some light on a couple of abbreviations for me? The first is Apnea/CA. Is this a central...

Hi Bonnie! "BNL" stands for Barenaked Ladies, a music group out of Canada that I fell in love with years ago. Regnad...I probably missed it in your post and didn't realize that you had been examined by a neurologist/neuro-ophthalmologist. You are 100% correct; if something serious was going on with ...
