Hi. I got my humidifier and tried it this night. I had some bad rainout, but trying again today. My nose felt much more open and I actually felt better today.

UARS and flattening

hi all, Are there any experienced UARS patients or docs here? I was diagnosed with "possible UARS" from a PSG. My flow limitation % was 40. And the graphs showed that from my 9 hours of sleep I had 10% flat breaths, 30% below average, 30% average and 30% good. Anyone know the scale of UARS. How do I...

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

Right, I might get more allergy in my lungs too and that might be a problem. Let's see when Salix and Birch stop polluting the air. This might just be the problem. Bad timing on the "nose job" and allergy season It's actually the nose mussels were burned to reduce the size and allow more air passage...

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

He put me on Anafranil 25mg (micro dose) and my problems instantly disappared. The sleep walking or the nightmares? I presume the latter, at least. What's happening. Is it allergy season? New and open nose? or anything else? Anyone with similar problems? I can't answer because I don't understand th...

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

Thanks. I will call them and get a humidifier right away. I think it's more work to get the bipap, so I have to test this one first. It will probably help my nasal congestion... Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

I actually do the same. I have been doing the Nasal Rinse 2x daily since last summer. Using a nasal horn running salt water through. I use Avamys a steroid spray (probably similar to Flonase), but not 4hrs before sleeping. Maybe just 1 hour. I will try using it earlier. I got an infection after I di...

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

My PSG show a flow limitation of 40. Is this number high or is it low? I'm not sure what it means, but I think it's the number for breath below threshold.

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

The pressure is auto from 5 to 14, but maybe the machine is not responding right to my uars. I will try taping to se if it's my mouth. It might help Hmmmm...sounds like you might need a pressure change or maybe a different mask. With the change in your nose, you may need to change the mask or pressu...

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

Hi! I was also thinking apnea. I sometimes wake up with full airblow. That's probably an apnea, but it shouldn't happen. The only data I get from the machine is AHI index (4,5) and leaks (around 25). I get a full read out by visiting the hospital. The chart looks ok, but I had about 37% leak when I ...

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

Hi Julie. I actually don't use a humidifier. Should I? I use a humidifier in the room at winter, but nothing now. Thanks for the tip about air get lost. This might be a problem. I will do a search for taping. Morty Hi, well a simple guess could be that your humidifier is set too high. It can often c...

UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems

Hi Everyone. I'm new to this forum and hope to get some input that will help my treatment. I'm 36 years old (181 cm and normal weight) and I have been walking in my sleep and experienced sleep terrors in 22 years. Every night the first 3-4 hours of my sleep. A couple of years ago I started to experi...
