Also... can using the avaps while awake screw up the recorded apnea data? is there instructions anywhere online that explains how to correctly read the encore results.. since i send it out to dme..i cant do it nightly[which would simplify things] so, im not seeing apnea counts by the day, just avera...

thanks sws.. makes sense. another thing i wanted to mention is after a night on the machine, i feel pretty good for a few hours. my theory right now is... like yours that my recent increase in pressures and extended inhale times has caused some overinflation and increased my lung volume. problem is....

thanks for the suggestions. i contacted respironics and found out the proper adapter and battery pack that would work with the bipap. unfortunately, the system costs round 465 bucks online and even more at a local dme. ive contacted 2 dme's in my area...both said medicare will deny me coverage on a ...
