Re: Why buy software? Opinions appreciated
Having the software makes me feel less controlled by the machine and more aware of what's happening. It made a huge difference in my peace of mind and I'm hoping will eventually help me get the kinks sorted out with my therapy.

Re: Mirage Swift Fx
I'm having the same "it's practically in my eyes" problem. The Swift FX was the first nasal pillows mask I've tried and I was initially really excited, but now I'm waking up four or five times a night, either because the headgear has slipped off the top of my head, or because the straps are squishin...

Re: VS very high, but doctor is blowing it off
Thank you, everyone, for your replies! I agree that waiting until August is not unreasonable, and I'll do that before I start monkeying around with anything. I do feel better, though, knowing that while VS is probably important in my case, there are also probably multiple variables involved. The get...

VS very high, but doctor is blowing it off
Hey folks, I need some help. I've been on CPAP since the end of April. I'm at 95% compliance and my AHI has dropped from 98 (during my sleep study) to around 5.6 on an average night. That's a big improvement, but I'm greedy and want even better sleep! I bought the Encore Viewer 2 software and I've b...

Re: What is your favorite nasal PILLOW mask?
I'm sort of glad to hear that the Swift FX is not everyone's favorite. I like the fact that it doesn't come down between my eyes, but I can't seem to sleep on my side and maintain a seal, even though I've tried the S, M, and L sized pillows. I was making progress, but I'm now at an average AHI of 5....

Re: Help interpreting 1st month of data
what is your pressure? with your mask there is a chart or graph indicating flow rates (ideal) - look at that information for your pressure and see how close you are I'm not sure what you mean by "how close you are." I went to the Swift FX user guide http://www.resmed.com/au/assets/documents/product...

Re: Help interpreting 1st month of data
Pressure is 10 cm. Where do I find the mask pressure chart? I'm sure the card has plenty more data, but I don't currently have software to read it -- that needs to be remedied pronto, but I'm not sure if I need the EncoreViewer or EncoreAnywhere (any advice on that question?) I just went and got my ...

Re: Help interpreting 1st month of data
jules, I have leak information for the past week only, but I wondered about that too. Here's what I've got (added to the AHI/VS stuff): 5/27: AHI = 2.9, VS = 284.9 -- Average leak 28.0 (it doesn't say percentage or seconds or anything, just 28.0) 5/28: AHI = 3.7, VS = 103.1 -- Average leak 25.0 5/29...

Help interpreting 1st month of data
So, went to have first month of data downloaded and I think the results, overall, look good, but when I had questions, the RT at my DME couldn't help me understand my data (!) and I know ya'll can! Here's what I've got with data from 5/04 to 6/02: CPAP Pressure 10.0 Avg % of night in periodic breath...

Frustrated Newbie - noise problems
Hi, I'm at week 2 with CPAP, 10 cm pressure, F-P Zest nose mask and becoming increasingly frustrated. I know it's unreasonable to have expected a miraculous change, but the first three mornings after CPAP were amazing! Now that my sleep debt has lessened, my ability to stay asleep with my CPAP has a...
