Feel horrible on CPAP
I got a APAP machine on friday.. I've been sleeping about half the night with it on, except for saturday night where I slept about 8 hours with it. I can fall asleep easily enough, but I usually wake up 4 hours later, can't go back to sleep immediately so I take it off. Anyways, is it normal to feel...

Re: Three nights - my numbers so far
Really? My AHIs in the two studies I've had showed 12 AHI and 23 AHI, all hypopneas... I've seen three sleep doctors over the years, each said CPAP.Julie wrote:Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure why you're even on Cpap if you have no apneas, but only hypopneas.

Three nights - my numbers so far
OK, I've had my new S8 Autoset II for three nights now. My leak rate seems to be around 0.04L/s - is this acceptable? Good even? My AHI was each night 4, 4.6, 7.7. All Hypopneas, no apneas. However, at my two sleep studies I didn't have apneas, only lots of hypopneas. My pressure range is 7-20cm... ...

Re: Question regarding mask selection on Autoset II
Its not clear to me what the final verdict was. I too have a Mirage Micro and an S8 Autoset II. Should I use Standard or Mirage? Does it matter?

New S8 Autoset II - configuration questions
I received an S8 Autoset II today... Some configuration questions: 1) The default pressure range configured is 4-20cm. I've had two sleep studies - one in 2008 said 7cm and 2002 said 12cm... Doctor/DME didn't seem concerned about setting a range, saying it would automatically figure out my pressure....

Re: FOUND: Source for ResMed Data Card Readers
You can search google with the following string "site:.com.au" to focus on Australian websites. I found two others that list the S8 card reader: http://cpapshop.com.au http://www.cpapnq.com.au Both are $120 AUD for the reader like http://www.cpapaustralia.com.au - however, both of these other websit...

Re: New to CPAP - feel much worse, lots of questions
Thank you for the replies. Since I got the CPAP machine 2 years ago and am just now trying it, should I continue, or wait until I can arrange another study? Is there any more harm in having inadequate pressure vs. not using CPAP? As for having the titration performed on my back, I hate sleeping on m...

New to CPAP - feel much worse, lots of questions
Back in 2002, I had a sleep study where I was found to have 'moderate' sleep apnea (thought another document from the same doctor described it as 'mild') and I was given a machine with a pressure setting of about 15. I had a hard time dealing with the pressure while exhaling and gave up. Then in 200...
