I just received my new PR System One BiPAP Pro and am in search of software. Several from this board seem to recommend Encore Basic over Encore Viewer. I'm running Windows 8 64 bit. Can someone hook me up with a source?
Thanks.

Respironics BiPAP Pro - opinions, manual?
Apria is replacing my failing BiPAP (don't get me started, my experiences with them have been horrible but they are the only DME my HMO uses). I am getting set up with a PR System One BiPap Pro DS660. Anyone have any comments on this machine? It looks to me like it has full data capabilities, right?...

Which Bipap do I want?
My Resmed VPAP S Bipap's power button has been acting up and I can barely get it to turn on and off. Even though it's only 3 1/2 yrs old, looks like my HMO is choosing to replace it rather than repair it. Through Apria, which at least locally only deals Respironics blowers. My doctor won't go for Au...

Code for Nasal Mask and Nasal
My doctor's office screwed the order to the DME (they had headgear only and complete heated humidifier, not just the chamber) so I want to make sure they get it right. The doctor was leaving the decision of nasal mask or nasal pillow to me and the DME. It looks like the code A7034 covers both. Is th...

Re: Nasal Pillows for Pressure of 18?
Thank you rested gal. Even before I read your reply I had added a rubber band and twist tie to the mask which seems to help reduce the leak a bit. I'll have to try the pantyhose trick - maybe add some duct tape for good measure, too. Funnny, the things we do. And thanks for the mask recommendation, ...

Nasal Pillows for Pressure of 18?
I've been using Respironics Comfortlite 2 mask with Direct Seal nasal pillows for several years and have found it comfortable and had no major leak problems, but I was only at Bipap pressure of 10/8, which hasn't been controlling my apneas. A new sleep study just titrated me to 18/14. I've been incr...

Re: Experience with the ComfortLite II?
I've been using the Comfortlite 2 for a couple of years with good success. Of the three different cushion types, only the direct seal work for me. I couldn't get a good seal with the simple cushions or the nasal pillows. But that's just me. The nasal pillows come in sizes S, M & L and the direct sea...

Re: Preferred mask for side-sleepers
I'm mostly a side sleeper and wear a Respironics Comfortlite 2, with the direct seal nasal pillows and don't have a leak problem even though I toss and turn a lot. Interestingly enough, I'm about to have a new sleep study so I just perused my old study results, and noticed my AHI was LOWER when on m...

Re: Card Reader
If your DME has one, $99 is not outrageous. I tried buying online several months ago from an ebay seller in Israel for $80-they took my money,I never got the item and they wouldn't respond to my emails. Paypal eventually refunded me. After that a seller from Hong Kong showed up on ebay, but when I t...

ResScan - Any way to tell OSA's from CA's?
I recently started dowloading info from my Resmed VPAP-S (similar to Resmed S8 Series) into ResScan 3.14. Is there any way to distinguish central apneas from obstructive apneas? Am I corect in assuming the AI and AHI numbers include both types?

Resmed VPAP-S Detailed Data issue?
I just started dowloading data from my Resmed VPAP-S via the ResScan smart card. I seem to be only able to download detailed data for the latest day, then only if I insert the card into the VPAP before midnight. I'm selecting to download all data including all detailed sessions, then overwrite. Am I...

Got Resscan 3.14, ACS Reader, & Card. Now What?
Finally (I hope) ready to start getting data from my Resmed VPAP-S. I just received an ACS ACR-38U-SPL (non CCID) reader, I have a brand new Resmed Smartcard, and I have downloaded (but not yet installed) Resscan 3.14. I have instructions to make a card guide - tonight's project. Can anyone tell me ...

What Reader, Card & Software for Resmed VPAP S?
I'm think I'm finally ready to take advantage of the full data capability of my 2 yr. old Resmed VPAP S. As this is not one of the most popular BiPap machines out there, can someone confirm which reader, card and and software I need? I believe its the Rescan Smart Card Reader 22207 currently availab...

ComfortLite 2 Direct Seal Cushion Noisier?
I've been very happy with the Respironics Comfortlite 2 mask with direct seal cushions for several years. I replace the cushions about every two months and have noticed lately that some newer cushions are definately louder when I inhale than others. My leak rate is very low and the sound is definate...
