Elena,
I am definitely an active sleeper, I'm all over the bed.
Jules,
I am at a straight 8.5, not using it in BiPaP mode.

What does a normal leak line look like?
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd313/dolppl/LeakLine.jpg This is my leak line, pretty much like all my other nights. The average is 33 for the night which mine should be about 30 for this mask and machine. I know it is supposed to be straight, but how straight? should it be a lot better than th...

Re: Apneas and Oximeter
I do have a tendency to over-think things a little bit. I am analytical and type-A to a fault. It just seems like I've been going in circles for the past two years and would really like to be able to live my life again. I'm missing out on so much because I would rather be sleeping than doing anythin...

Re: Apneas and Oximeter
Ok, so this might sound stupid, but I was trying it out and I had it on a held my breath as long as I could and my sats. never changed. Should they? Or am I looking at this wrong? does it have to be more prolonged? I'm more concerned about the centrals I'm having to see if they are actually centrals...

Re: Apneas and Oximeter
I got my pulse oximeter today, how exactly do I go about using it? I guess I should have looked into a little more before i blew $130. I mean I know how to use I can read directions, but is it going to tell me anything useful? And how do I interpret what it tells me?

Apneas and Oximeter
I might be having trouble with central apneas but i'm not sure if my machine is reporting them properly and so I purchased and oximeter, should be here in a few days. My question is, If my machine tells me I am having centrals but the oximeter doesn't show a drop in o2 sat. is that a good indication...

Insurance Paying For DME After 90 Days
My medical insurance goes by the Medicare guidelines, which states, "For PAP devices with initial dates of service on or after November 1, 2008, documentation of clinical benefit is demonstrated by: 1. Face-to-face clinical re-evaluation by the treating physician with documentation that symptoms of ...

Trouble Breathing in the Morning
Anybody ever feel short of breath in the morning? It seems to be worse after I have a good night where I keep my mask on all night long. It is worse when i first wake up and slowly gets better as the day goes on but sometimes lasts into the evening. This has never happened before CPAP and does not h...

Re: First BiPaP Auto Home Titration. Help Interpreting
I do not believe that there is anything called an auto home titration per se. You can titrate yourself in order to minimize things like apnea events and hypopnea events, leak rates and so on Well I titrated myself at home using the auto function of my BiPaP, I'm not sure what you would call it but ...

First BiPaP Auto Home Titration. Help Interpreting
Just figured out how to post these. I'm not sure how to read this. Can anybody recommend where to go from here? It doesn't seem to correlate with my daily totals each of these nights.

Setting a BiPaP machine for CPAP
Does anybody know if there is way to set my machine (in my profile) for auto CPAP? When I put it on Auto and set the range it automatically starts in BiPaP.

Re: Question about REM sleep and Centrals.
Thank you all for your responses. I will definitely discuss my concerns with my doctor the next time I see him. I just know that he does not feel as though the software is worth anything and that my concerns will fall on deaf ears. I told him on my one month follow-up that I was concerned about the ...

Re: Question about REM sleep and Centrals.
Does anybody think that it could be just caused by the BiPap?
According to this study, http://www.pulmonaryreviews.com/dec05/bipap.html .They seem to say that BiPaP machines can cause central apneas, and it doesn't seem to be that rare. I believe it said in 24% of otherwise "normal" individuals.

Re: Question about REM sleep and Centrals.
When I discovered the abnormally slow heart rate about a year and a half ago I had a 24 hour holter monitor test done and and echocardiogram done. The results were that my heart was a lot more efficient than most peoples (probably attributed to the fact that i have been a long distance runner for mo...
