2 Year Mark - Giving up
Hello Everyone, I'm now at the two year mark as a compliant CPAP user.. I even switched to an Autopap in the hopes of feeling better. Unfortunately after 2 years of using my machine for 8 hours per night I am still miserable. I can sleep fine with it on and it lowers my AHI below 1-2, however I stil...

Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
Hi lilbean, I just wanted to say that I was also in a similar situation to yourself. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea when I was 19 when I was not at all overweight. I was also told this was due to throat issues and later had a tonsillectomy. It did not help me sleep or breathe easier, but I did sto...

Back on CPAP after a break
Hi Everyone, I've recently started back on CPAP after a break of a few months. I got frustrated and couldn't stand it anymore but I'm ready to start again. I picked up a new mask (I'm lucky enough that my health insurance through work will reimburse me for these now, I had to pay out of pocket befor...

Hi, I live in Canada where these machines are much more expensive. Do you have an estimated ship cost to Canada?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Still no results
My pressure is currently set at 9 since I did my titration sleep study about 5 months ago. I still haven't made it back to my sleep doctor since then as it takes almost six months to get an appointment Are you going to (or are you willing to) take charge of your own therapy or are you going to be d...

Re: Still no results
Hello, I was wondering if you put one of those things on your finger to see what your oxygen level was in the morning when you are feeling badly? If it is normal, then go on to check something else (like a blood test for example) if below normal, then we know that you are still not being successful...

Still no results
Hi Everyone, Background: 24-Year-Old diagnosed with mild sleep apnea with an AHI of 18. I've had a lot of troubles with my therapy in the past and I've always got good advice here and followed it to the best of my ability. The most recent advice was to get a data capable machine and keep track of my...

Re: S8 Elite II - Data help
Thanks for the replies. I live in Canada and will add that to my post. I would appreciate it if anyone who has this reader and card available would let me know.
I found an option on the cpap screen for smartdata or something similar but there is no option to turn this on

S8 Elite II - Data help
Hello Everyone, I recently got a used S8 Elite II due to all the recommendations here on the forums that I have a data capable machine. I also got a copy of the ResScan 3.11 software. However, I'm now told that I need to buy a $30 data card and a $75 card reader. Are there any alternative methods of...

Re: ResScan 3.11
I just got an S8 Elite II and would also appreciate being linked to somewhere I can get the software. Also, just any old regular SD card and an SD card reader for my pc will work, or do I need the expensive Resmed reader device?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: No Improvement - Five Months Later
Try taking the melatonin at a lower dose, and about 12 hours before you want to get up. That might help. The only other gold standard treatment I've read about is bright light therapy in the mornings (and avoiding computers and bright lights at night). There's also chronotherapy but that's tough. I...

Re: Titration and First Months
You might try the SoftGel Cushion... it fits your mask and is fairly cheap at CPAP.com. You will find it softer on the face and seals pretty much the same. The problem will be sweating will aggravate the seal somewhat. For me it was too heavy and I move a lot from side to side. I'd also consider ch...

Titration and First Months
Hi everyone, I posted a short rant earlier about having issues with my mask and received a lot of helpful advice. I am still having a lot of trouble adjusting, so I thought I would post again. Long story short, I am 24 years old, not overweight but not in the best of shape either and have been diagn...

Re: New to CPAP Lots of Issues!
Loosen up your mask - you'll get leaks anyway if it's too tight, but at least it won't be killing you. Does it not fit because it's really the wrong size, or because you haven't played with it to adjust it, or because ??? If the DME will let you try on other masks at their place, and you can find o...
