Re: Does anyone else pay DME extra to get APAP?

Oh I'm not backing down on the data. My sleep center is big on having the smartcards read but I'll make sure I get one that I can keep track of my own numbers. Even if I hadn't seen how important it was on this forum, I'd want it anyway, because I'm geeky that way.

Re: Does anyone else pay DME extra to get APAP?

Thanks for that information Gia and Jules. My insurance considers APAP "experimental and investigational" and not covered; I'm still going to see what the DME says about getting me a ResMed S9 but if my insurance carrier tends to play hardball on that policy then I'm afraid I'll have to settle for a...

Re: Waiting to Inhale

I think I'll request that from the sleep center -- I'm not sure how much info they forwarded to my GP in the first place. I will do that though!

Re: Waiting to Inhale

OK, I just wrote my doctor to ask if she'll write me the prescription so I can get started. I hope I sounded informed -- However, I’m not comfortable potentially waiting another three months to begin treatment if I can help it. I’d like to find out if you’d be willing to write the initial prescripti...

Waiting to Inhale

Howdy all! I'm glad to find this forum, everything I've read here so far has been helpful. I got a prescription for a sleep study back in November, but unfortunately had to reschedule my study twice (first time I had to fly out of town at the last minute for a family funeral, and the second time I h...
