Re: I would like advice on my pressure. HI 3.9? Software needed?
As far as your insurance goes it is probably best to call them as most have different schedules for replacing durable medical. For instance my insurance company United Healthcare will replace my CPAP every 3 years. Some are 5 years and some are less as far as the machine itself goes.

Re: S9 H5i not heating Please Help!
My orange light doesn't come on after it finishes warming but the air also never felt warm. I think it only heats it enough to produce the right amount of humidity and thats it. Of course I don't really know of a good way to test if it is putting out the right humidity or not short of getting a devi...

Re: Is a 2 hr sleep study sufficient - newbie here
Usualy the way most sleep studies work is if you have over 40 eppisodes a hour they wake you up as soon as you hit that and put the mask on. Be it 1 hour or 3 that it takes you to get there. I only went about 2 hours before I was put on the mask. I found out when I got my results that I was having 6...

If your DME will replace the humidifier I would say go for it. I will say that before I got my climate line tubing the air did feel very cold coming out but I could feel the humidity also. The air did not feel warm at all though before the climate line tubing.

Re: S9 H5i not heating Please Help!
does the orange light come on when you are prewarming it? I seem to remember reading somewhere that it wouldn't heat the water under certain conditions IE room already having enough relative humidity. Although i'm not sure on that one. I highly recomend getting the climate line tubing though as it a...

Re: POLL: Rainout and Supplied Humidity - S9 vs PR System One
I cannot attest to the PR system one as I do not own one but I do have the S9. I used the S9 for about a week while waiting on my climate line hose to come in that I ordered and it seemed very good at controlling rainout as I didn't really experience any with the normal tubing. Of course thats proba...

Re: s9 autoset version 3.7 software
you have to get 3.10 as mentioned for the S9 models and to look at the data you just pop the SD card out of the back of the machine and into your computer and launch up Resscan to download it. Very user friendly The ports I believe are to hook up the different modules resmed is going to be coming ou...

Re: New here - looking for info for my husband
Just a quick note as far as quiteness goes. The newer machines have gotten a good deal quiter now so you might not even notice the sound of the machine. I recently was diagnosed myself with severe sleep apnea with AHI of 69.4 (all hypopneas) and lowest O2 sat of 85% and was given a resmed S9 Elite b...

Re: Should I cancel my titration?
The Ramp feature is disabled, and because it's an autopap, it starts out at a pressure of 4, and doesn't increase unless I need it. I feel like I need it right off the bat and have no way to control the pressure. I feel almost like I am suffocating at a pressure of 4. I did some cpap practice while...

Re: Should I cancel my titration?
I was not intending to come off rude so I appolagize if it came off that way. When I went for my sleep study they started me off with a nasal mask so figured they would tell me if I needed a full face mask or chin strap during the study. Also my DME sugested the nasal pillows to start off with. I kn...

Re: Should I cancel my titration?
Just a quick question on something I have noticed. Why do so many people opt for a full face mask right off the bat.. I can understand the full face mask if you can't keep your mouth closed or it opens alot when you fall asleep, or if your preasure is so high that you cannot get a really good seal w...

Re: Does anyone else pay DME extra to get APAP?
I definately agree with those that said to get in touch with your insurance and find out exactly what they will cover. I was told by my DME that the insurance didn't care what brand and they didnt have codes for specific models it was all one code regardless. Typically DME's will try to get you to t...

Re: CPAP and Air Travel
I would definately carry it on since most airlines do not count medical devices as one of your caryons. Plus I wouldn't trust my machine to the normal baggage process. Here is a link to the official TSA regulations for traveling with a cpap. http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/cpap.s...
