Re: Sudden Problems Breathing Using CPAP

I noticed something in my OSCAR data… my CPAP pressure prescription is 7 - 14 psi. In the first block of data above, when I was doing fine, I never approached 14 psi. That has been the case for years. In the second block of data my AHI and time in apnea started going up and my required pressure star...

Re: Sudden Problems Breathing Using CPAP

What is the altitude at each location? Have you compared the OSCAR or other software results at both locations? OSCAR data attached from problem location. I don’t have the SD card for the other location with me. Data is from current location, state 1. Missing data is where state 2 data would be. Wh...

Re: Sudden Problems Breathing Using CPAP

Next time you travel bring the machine with you. Then swap machines. Now you'll know if its the machine, or environment. Good idea. I go back in June and will try that although I was hoping to resolve this before then. I assumed machine but who knows. The only thing that changed in my environment i...

Re: Sudden Problems Breathing Using CPAP

Both are basically sea level. I’ll check current OSCAR data. Haven’t done that yet.

Sudden Problems Breathing Using CPAP

Long story here. Hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction. I have been using a CPAP machine for probably close to 15 years with absolutely no problems and my compliance is virtually 100% from a Resmed 9 to 10 and now 11. I have 2 homes in 2 different states. A newer S11 in state A and a...

Re: ‘New’ Machine - CDMA type, not 4G?

You might consider swapping the modem out of the 4g *AIR*10 with the CDMA one. The modem is port mounted and easy to take out. Here's a tear down video that shows how to disconnect the modem. The modem being removed is about the 5:00 point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpI0AVoCG3M I don't know if...

Re: ‘New’ Machine - CDMA type, not 4G?

That is why newbies need to come here and get educated on what to look for BEFORE they visit their first DME. You need to be aware that if their lips are moving they are lying. You need to be aware that they will sell you the machine and supplies with the lowest cost/highest margin for them. You ne...

Re: ‘New’ Machine - CDMA type, not 4G?

Awesome video. Thanks! Seems to make more sense to swap modems so I’ll go that route. So… looking S/Ns, hers is a 2015 model and mine is a 2017 model. I can’t believe (actually I can believe) the DME sold her a 3 year old model as a new one. Probably double dipped the insurance.

Re: ‘New’ Machine - CDMA type, not 4G?

Thanks - that’s exactly what I was thinking. Or swapping motors. I saw a CDMA thread that leads me to believe either are pretty easy. For further clarification, I did do some research after posting and see now that it’s a hardware issue that can’t be fixed without changing the modem. It bothered me ...

‘New’ Machine - CDMA type, not 4G?

I am using a machine that is new to me. It’s my wife’s old S!0 For Her, set to regular Autoset mode, as my vacation home Cpap machine, since she no longer has OSA. I have a new S11 as my primary home machine and I have been using my old S10 as my secondary machine but it has >20,000 hours and I am g...

Re: Change OSCAR Data File Location?

Never mind. OSCAR asked me to specify the data location when I first ran it after reinstalling. I thought it was part of the setup.

Change OSCAR Data File Location?

So I installed OSCAR and then decided I wanted to clean up the folder where I installed it and store the data/profile/etc in a sub-folder. I uninstalled OSCAR and when I reinstalled it, it no longer asked me where I wanted the data file to be located and installed the data in the old location. How c...

Re: CPAP Machine Shuts Off At Night

I do have SmartStart turned on so when I go to bed I don't have to hit the on button. I didn't know it had a 'smart' shut off as well. I'll try with it off since I don't recall ever having a power glitch that turns it off so it seems worth the risk compared to this happening several time a night. In...

CPAP Machine Shuts Off At Night

I have new Resmed Airsense 10 that I have been using for a few weeks. I got it because my S9 was 7+ years old and I thought it was starting to fail because it would randomly shut off at night while I was using it. It would turn off, I would wake up not being able to breath because the air pump was o...

Re: Noisy Resmed Airsense 10

Thanks for the reply's. Seems odd that the new model would be noisier than the the previous generation. I'll have to fire up the old S9 for a comparison - I don't recall it being this noisy. Not sure a fan is the right answer for me but if it works for you that's great. I was thinking about the tank...
