Re: Resmed S8 vs. S10
Hi, the S10 is way too big. I'll keep the S8 as long as it works. My insurance pays an annual fee so I can have the newest device and mask once a year or so. But the AirMini is not an option as ResMed does not offer it in annual fee rate. And if I get a new device, I have to return the used machine....

Re: Resmed S8 vs. S10
Hi, Some machines won't let you do auto start if the mask type is set to FFM. That is the case. On the other hand, the S8 performs well with a wrong tube length selected. I chose 2 metres (the shortest option available) but on vacations I use a two feet tube, which takes much less space in my bicycl...

Re: Resmed S8 vs. S10
Unfortunately not with my setup (full face mask, APAP with EPR/EBW)Pugsy wrote:Do the S8 machines have Smart Start on them so that the machine will start without having to push the button?
I will see if I can get the AirMini as a permanet replacement.

Re: Resmed S8 vs. S10
I travel frequently by bicycle and the size of my panniers is very limited. So everything bigger than the S8 will not fit.Oltremare wrote:The S10 external power supply is uncomfortable but it's on the floor and hiding it under the bed, no problem.

Resmed S8 vs. S10
Hi, I am still using the "old" S8 (Autoset EPR) and I am satisfied with it. The most obvious advantage is it's size with the built-in power supply. As I travel frequently by bicycle, size really matters. Unfortunately the main button does not work well any longer. I have to push hard to start or sto...

Re: resmed users only!
Ha Katie, When I was using my S8 AutoSet II, I found was more comfortable on cpap, after trying it on apap. There are several versions of the S8 AutoSet II. The standard edition can reduce pressure while exhaling only to a certain degree, only in cpap mode and only slowly. The S8 AutoSett II EBW/EPR...

AI is usually below 1, often 0. HI is between 3 and 6m though.ephskiing377 wrote:I was wondering what are your daily AHI numbers are with your resmed cpap machines. I get any where from 4.0 up to 7x7.0 for a night. How do you resmed machine users get your AHI below 5?

Re: Newbie has question about Resmed Apap Autoset S9
Hi, I am not certain if 0 is the goal here Yes it is. Everything under about 7 should be OK, less than about 2 is perfect. 113 seems extremely high, as everything over 40 is considered a very high apnea rate. AHI is the addition of AI (not breathed at all for at least ten seconds) and HI (breathed, ...

Re: Resmed S9 Software - Where can I get it?
Hi, I am going to receive my S9 soon, as I need EBW and yy current S8 does not have EBW in auto mode. EBW reduces my hypopneas significantly (tried a S8 EBW for a month). Is the S9 without humidifier (but including power adaptor) smaller than S8 without humidifier? I understand the S9 uses smaller d...
