Re: Leakage; ready to give tape a try tonight...
I use 2 inch 3M Medipore. I think the "pore" may mean porous so I cover it with 2 inch blue painter's tape. Works for me and my leak rate is usually 0.

Re: New S9 VPAP Auto ResScan Data?
Thanks for your input SleepingUgly. I know what the various items are. What I am looking for is some idea what they mean in relation to my sleep quality. Unfortunately, when I showed some ResScan data to my sleep doc a year ago, I got the impression it was the first time he had ever seen data from o...

Re: Mask Hose PigTail
I wanted to extend my hose so I ordered an 18" Humidifier Hose from cpap.com and found I couldn't use it because of male fittings on both ends. I'm waiting to hear back from cpap.com re exchanging for one with male and female ends. What do you mean by "hose connector"?

Help with Mac/Fusion data download
I have been successfully downloading my S9 SD card for some time. I want to go back to my old ResMed VPAP Malibu which is a semi-brick when it comes to detailed data (no flow data for example). I have a cable which fits the serial port on the Malibu and USB connector on other end. When I connect the...

Re: How Long Can We Live?
I'm one old codger (85th birthday last month) who has been on XPAP for over 4 years and hope to stay on it for many more. Part of my mental exercise is trying to figure out how to improve my therapy in the absence of informed professionals.

Re: confused.. dr. followup?
My experience re follow up was sorta the opposite. My sleep doc was associated with a hospital and had a DME in an office off his waiting room. (He told me I could use another un-related DME) His practice at the beginning was to have me download data and give me a physical about every 4 to 6 weeks. ...

Re: Is 75 too old for CPAP? Old Dog New Trick?
I was 79 when diagnosed. Took me several months to accept the gear. If I'd had an S9 with Climate Control and a Swift FX I probably would have been sleeping 9 hours per night, like I do now, in about a week.

Re: Is one increment on yellow tab normal usage for S9 H5i?
In contrast, my humidifier tank goes virtually empty every night. I run at 10 to 12 cm with Auto Climate Control and a temp of 86 deg. My bedroom humidity is probably about average. With your pressure of only 5 cm you would normally use less.

Re: Climateline hose burst last night - only 1 month old
Just to add one little positive note to this basically discouraging thread, I've been using my S9 Climate Line hose for 8 months now with no problem. Maybe my usage is weird: I use Auto Climate Control with the temperature set to the max for auto, namely 86 deg. I use nothing but distilled water and...

Re: "Cluster" AI's - Cause for concern?
My savvy RT looked at my S9 records and identified those "clusters" as being normal for "incipient sleep". In other words, when you are just starting to doze off something about our physiology (muscles relaxing???) produces these repeated apneas. For me this can happen when I first go to bed or when...

Re: S9 Flow Limitation Graph -- Questions
Thanks idamtnboy. Now that I see a number I'm happy. I guess it's the ol' retired engineer in me. When I looked at a 0.17 Flow Limitation I could see clearly what ResScan was seeing in my flow trace that produced the FL. The inspiring portion for the matching point had a dip and a rise much differen...

Re: Another ResScan Anomaly Question
Mark and Bill : I really appreciate you knowledgable guys trying to educate me and I eagerly await ResScan 3.xxxx which will allow me to do what I want to do, and, hopefully, tell me how to do it. My 20 or 30 years as a dumb Apple user has indoctrinated me in the idea if I THINK something should wor...

Re: Another ResScan Anomaly Question
Thanks billbolton. So I guess the correct thing to do is to tell it to overwrite the "Duplicate" data. That is very non-intuitive and if there are instructions somewhere in ResMeds manuals, I haven't seen it.
