Re: 2nd Night Amazing!
Glad to see you are having such success. The numbers you posted are good. You have no leak problems, and an AHI of 3.1 is considered "normal". That AHI number will come down with time. I am in my forth month of CPAP therapy and just got my FX mask last week. It is very comfortable and next to having...

Re: The best wipe for a mask?
I agree with steamfan. The baby wipes from Walmart work great and leave no discerable odor. Anything that doesn't irritate the bottom should be ok for the face.

Re: New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?
I just got my FX this past Monday. Four very good nights and I love it. Very comfortable, no leaks, and it is very easy to put on and take off.

Re: New User Question re: Nasal Pillows
I am a longtime side sleeper and just changed from a nasal mask to the FX. I could not be more pleased. Switching from side to side is easy and no leaks. The comfort is excellent.

Re: nasal mask for side sleeper
Pinkyjane--I am a side sleeper that changes sides frequently during the night. I am currently using the ResMed FX, but earlier I used the Fisher Playkel Zest nasel mask with much success and comfort. One of the features of this mask is that it is designed to adjust somewhat to your turning your head...

Well before I went on CPAP, my wife had trained me to sleep on my side--I got punched whenever I rolled onto my back and my snores were louder.

Re: ResScan 3.11
I have been on CPAP for two months. The results have been good--I sleep well and am not nearly so tired during the day--but I am concerned about my data. My DME is not very cooperative. Where can I get software for my S9?

Re: Controlling mouth leaks w/o tape or glue
Great idea for stopping mouth leaks. And a great idea to provide us with pictures so that we can best understand just how it works. I have been having mouth leak problems with little success using tape, mouthguards or chinstraps. Your solution looks like it would work for me and I plan to try it. Th...

Newbie needs help interpreting data
I need some help interpreting some of the data from my S9 Autoset this morning. The max pressure is set at 12, and the mim at 4. Pressure 11.8 Leak 10.8 L/min AHI 1.2 AI 1.1 Central 0 My main question is "What does Pressure indicate?" Is this the maximum pressure the machine generated during the nig...

Re: How many CPAP users require supplmental O2?
My cardiologist had me on O2 before my sleep tests were completed. After one week on CPAP (which made a big difference in how I felt the next day) I had a new oximeter test that showed lowered O2 saturation even with the CPAP. My cariologist requested that the oxygen concentrator be hooked up to my ...

Re: A Leakfree Alternative to Taping.........
I have been successfully using a football mouthguard for years as a nightguard to prevent grinding. Mine are the "boil & bite" type that I buy at Walmart for $1. I found that the youth size rather than the adult size is better for use as a nightguard (very few hits from linebackers at night). I have...

Re: How long did it take you to start sleeping all night on cpap
I slept through the night during both my sleep tests. After the second (titration) sleep test, I awoke feeling better than I had in a very long time. I really looked forward to the therapy and it was hard waiting for my perscription and CPAP equipment (received on May 3). The first two nights I had ...

Successful Newbie sends thanks
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea earlier this year and my cardiologist prescribed CPAP therapy. I had heard horror stories about CPAP and went online to research it. Fortunately for me, discovered this forum early on and, knowingly or not, all of you have been my support team. Now I am writing to th...
