Re: New Mac Drop of SleepyHead 0.9.2 Beta
2) However, as in the previous version, whenever it opens and checks for further updates, or when I check manually via the Preferences, I still get this error message via Growl: "The was an error parsing the XML update file." I also get this error anytime I run SH, or do a manual check for updates....

Re: Making a choice between machines
When you are at the home screen, hold down the 2 rectangular buttons until the screen flickers. Then (I hope I'm not forgetting a step here) you turn the knob once to the left to see more data (AHI breakdown, 95% pressure (if using apap), 95% leak rate, etc). Use the knob to scroll down. At the top...

Re: Making a choice between machines
... I REALLY miss the onscreen data the S9 offers, being able to see all of the AHI and leak info from the night before at the touch of a button... Sorry for going a little off-topic here. I've seen a couple of posts that reference the ability to see leak info on the S9 screen, but my S9 screen onl...

How close is Resmed's MIRP to brick and mortar MSRP?
Trying to arm myself with some pricing information. One reason for setting strict online price controls such as Resmed's MIRP (Minimum Internet Retail Price) is to protect brick-and-mortar shops and put every business who sells a given product on an equal playing field, at least as far a pricing. Th...

Re: Do I have to have an APAP to get usable sleep data?
Welcome to the forum, gdpeck! Here's a list of machines that are fully data capable, as well as the ones that are not: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?p=307168#p307168. You'd want to avoid the ones in red. The ones in blue are capable of reporting full data. The insurance billing code is exac...

Re: Do I have to have an APAP to get usable sleep data?
Hi George You are right... the DME is wrong. Elite by ResMed and Pro models by Respironics are completely data capable. Any Plus models by Respironics and as you already know, Escape by ResMed have compliance data only. You might want an AutoPAP for other reasons and the cost can be nil/ not much d...

Do I have to have an APAP to get usable sleep data?
Hi All, I was recently diagnosed with OSA, and have been adjusting to live with a CPAP for a little over a week now. After a lot of reading here, I have "almost" come to the conclusion that I would like to have more detailed data. My current machine provides compliance data only. Specifically I'd li...

Re: Getting Rescan 3.10 to Run on a Mac?
After my second night on my S9, I'm greatly encouraged. I want to run the software on my Mac. 1. I plan to buy Parallels. Is that a good idea or should I just stick with Bootcamp. 2. Which Microsoft Operating System should I get? Vista, etc.? I know nothing about PC's. I would use this for Rescan f...

Re: 1st Post, 1st Night on CPAP
Thanks for all of the responses. I can tell I've got a lot to learn, but it sounds like I really need to get a data capable machine. Why are you trying to sleep on your back? It's the worst position in terms of aggravating apnea production and most of us try our hardest to sleep any other way if we ...

1st Post, 1st Night on CPAP
Hi All, I've suspected that I may have sleep apnea for some time, but have never done anything about it. About two weeks ago I visited a P.A. because I lost my voice. During the exam, the P.A. commented on the fact that I still have my tonsils, and mentioned that my throat is small. He then asked if...
