I have had my machine in the top draw of the nightstand almost since I first go it 1 1/2 yrs ago. Just leave the draw open a couple of inches and all should be good.

Cheers

Jabberwock, Couple of things. When you start the SL software on the first screen down in the bottom right corner there is a ? symbol. Pressing this will bring up the help screen. Select the 420e and it should show you the manual for the software for the 420e. The translation could be better but I fo...

Tangents, The only whistle my 420e makes is when the Humidifier coupling is leaking. Easiest why to confirm if it is the coupling is to use the 420 without the humidifier and see if it whistles. Also make sure you have the coupling on the right way round. Short side to the humidifier. Once I had det...

I notice you use a PB machine. Just in case you aren't aware the PB requires 13 volts DC input. I run mine off a 12AH sealed lead acid battery which puts out 13.5 under the 11 watt load my PB CPAP places on it. When my battery drops to 12 volts under load it is 65% flat. Your voltage when flat would...

Respironics REMstar Humidifier recall in Australia

I thought this may be of interest for the REMstar users in Australia. Not sure if this applies to equipment sold in the US. Respironics has recalled the REMstar heated Humidifier because of a faulty power inlet. This recall applies to Product Number:1007861 with serial numbers H045582 to H239662. If...

Ms Piggy Hi. Couple of things with the numbers you posted. I believe your leak rate may be an issue. I don't know what mask you are using but 1.6 is very high. I use a Hybrid mask which has one of the highest leak rates and my leak rate is .7. You may want to fill in you profile with the equipment y...

All, I have a question. I am from Australia and the supply chain and insurance for equipment here is a little different to the US. However Resmed is doing the same thing here. My sleep Doctor and equipment supplier both do not understand Resmeds reasons for doing this. My question. Could this be abo...

Yes that could cause the problem if there is water in the sensor line. All you should need to do is blow the water out of the sensor line for it to work again. Providing the water hasn't been pushed in to the sensor on the 420E.

In 1 error on the 420e can happen for a couple of reasons from my experience. The mask is disconnected or you have a major leak. Second would be the sensor line is not connected to the 420E or it is blocked or compressed where it enters the main hose to the mask. Just pull the sensor line out of the...

Hi wader, I can also confirm the the 420e makes a rev up and down sound as I breathe. Like you it doesn't keep me awake. One thing I do which may help if you have a bedside set of draws is to put the 420 in the top draw. Not closed. It puts the machine just below the level at which I sleep. It is th...
