Re: Do you remember having flying dreams when you were a kid?
Hey, where do I get some of this varenicline/champix stuff? I figure I am going to save at least $20 a week on the movies. It is a smoking cessation drug 68 days cigarette free. Yeah!!! Other side effects include headache, difficulty sleeping, abnormal dreams, change in taste, vomiting, abdominal p...

Re: Remzzzs mask liners
I spent a few GREAT nights using the remzzzs liners with my quattro. Then I couldn't get a good seal. Make sure you have the liners properly placed... it can be hard to get them aligned properly. And pull them out around the outside of your mask (I started from the bridge of my nose) so you have a l...

Re: Do you remember having flying dreams when you were a kid?
Always had them as a kid. They were pretty boring from memory. With my untreated sleep apnea, I wasn't remembering/having any dreams (sleep test said I only had about 8 mins of REM sleep but probably just the environment). Now I remember dreams all the time, and probably due to varenicline/champix t...

Re: What have people in OZ paid for S9
Golden-Alpine, do you have private health insurance and will they cover a CPAP machine? cpapernewbie, the issue is really that I could go spend $1000-1500 on a machine from the US but if I found one in Australia, paid $1850 and send an extras claim to my private health insurance I will only be payin...

Re: What have people in OZ paid for S9
You will pay customs duty (5%) and possibly GST (10% - unless you can convince customs otherwise - there is no GST applicable to CPAP machines but customs can be morons) if you exceed $1000AUD value importing anything into Australia. If you bought an AutoSet + H5i from cpap.com, it will cost about ~...

Re: What have people in OZ paid for S9
I paid approx $2040 for the AutoSet + H5i. Plus I got $180 off it for "trial rebate". I don't live in any capital city by any means either. CPAPAustralia has them for $1995 and the Elite for $1499.

Re: CMS-50F Wrist Oximeter for $120 US
I was looking at these but couldn't decide whether to save $30 AUD and get the "all-in-one-finger" unit (50E?)
I have monstrously large hands so I am worried about them fitting.

Re: CPAP and hangovers
As an undergrad student I can definitively say that yes, after a night out drinking I feel much better the morning after given I put my mask on, relative to previously no CPAP and drinking. I just attribute this to my OSA's worsening with alcohol In fact the previous years before CPAP I had actually...

Re: ResMed Mirage Quattro - Like No Treatment at All?
I am starting to feel in the same boat. My numbers are the best they've been, max AHI of 1.2 lately. Had a few 0.1-0.3 nights. I wake up tired and feeling like I am deprived of oxygen... I mean I can't wait to take my mask off to get some fresh air. I wouldn't say as bad as having a night of no CPAP...

Re: Mirage Quattro Nose Smasher
I tried out the Swift FX's originally... I had trouble trying to breathe properly with it. Either I wasn't getting enough air or it was almost making me gag. My AutoSet average pressure was around 7.5. My reported apneas basically disappeared but I was getting a lot of centrals (CI approx 3). Now I ...

Re: Remzzzs Mask liners - wow!
You sold me! Just bought one online, now here comes the 2+ week wait to get here I'll see how it goes for me too and compare the two. The REMzzzz are ok. The padacheek liner is much easier to use. Install it to the mask, you're done. Stays in place through the night, even if you remove your mask. Ea...

Remzzzs Mask liners - wow!
Hey everyone, Just wanted to share my experience with a Remzzz cpap mask liner last night. What an awesome night's sleep! I have been having to have my Mirage Quattro adjusted sitting at maybe 0-3 on the microfit dial to stop leaks around the sides of my nose. The bridge of my nose has been getting ...

Re: Great 1st night
Congratulations! I slept a solid 8 hrs my first night but my AHI was something like 8 or 9. Had crazy central apneas. I am happy to get AHI < 3 nowadays. I have been on CPAP for about two months now, my numbers vary between 1.3 and 4.5. To change the date, it's in the clinician's menu... hold down t...
