Re: EncorePro 2.2.14.0 Problem/Question
Don't worry about losing data when re-installing Encore. I have never had the problem which you experience but have removed and re-instaled EncorePro. When it is uninstalled, the data base remains. When re-installing you must go into custom mode and choose only the program install otherwise the inst...

Re: Medicare CPAP Compliance Rules
Thanks, Jankintz, for your reply, that document was very helpful. I think I will call my DME since it appears that they are the ones who have to communicate when requesting funds from Medicare.

Re: Medicare CPAP Compliance Rules
Thanks folks for these responses. But what I really need is the regulation itself. There is so much talk about it but I can't find it myself. I have been 100% compliant since getting the machine on March 25th. I saw one medical professional, the nurse practitioner on May 26th who can certify my comp...

Medicare CPAP Compliance Rules
Does anyone have a reference to the government regulations (number, URL, or PDF, etc.) regarding Medicare CPAP compliance rules. I once saw somewhere that for CPAP, only the patient had to certify compliance, but for BIPAP it required a physician certification. I can't remember where I saw that. I h...

Re: why do we need to change mask if working? medical reason?
No need change a working mask. However, if my insurance company is kind enough to pay for a new one, I get one of a different type (just in case) or get the same kind to use as a backup (just in case).

Re: Potential Downsides to using CFlex+
All good points. I just wanted to clarify the previous "Bottom line.......no risk." statement. I am going with this. I hope it is correct, because I changed from Cflex to Cflex+ almost immediately after getting my machine (March 25th). I see the dr. next week and I don't want to get my hands slappe...

Re: Pulse Oximeter Suggestions
I bought the CMS50D plus from DHGate. It is a fingertip unit that I find not too tight to leave on overnight. Sometimes I switch fingers in the middle of the night if I happen to wake up. It is a basic unit that records with data uploadable to the computer through the cable supplied with the unit. I...

Re: Potential Downsides to using CFlex+
According to my reading at Phillips, Cflex+ affords pressure at the END of exhalation, not the beginning, and continues the relief through the beginning of inhalation.

Re: Still noncompliant with CPAP
Ya gotta just keep trying. I spent the first years after diagnosis with my CPAP machine in the closet. Just couldn't get used to it. Finally after enough nights dreaming I was smothering and waking up in a panic gasping for air I tried again. Now, I can honestly say I look forward to putting the mas...

Encore Pro 2.2 Day start/end
Encore Pro 2.2 seems to automatically use 12 Noon as the day end. I can't find any way to change that. I often do not go to sleep until 5 or 6 Am and sleep through Noon. Does anyone know how to change the day end? There is no way to change the time in the machine that I know of. And encore Pro 2.2 d...

I don't know whether that is good or bad for a full face mask. For my mask, my high is 10 and I average about 4.

Re: sliding backwards
If you go into company settings and change preferences to report "unintentional leak" your leak rate will be more informative. This way it subtracts out the baseline leak that is part of every mask. It will make the detailed report which is part of the patients therapy data take longer to produce. B...
