Re: i cant handle therpy anymore

I'll add my voice to the ones encouraging you to hang in there and try other mask options before giving up on therapy entirely. The key for me has always been the mask. Not just the right type and size of mask, but also keeping it in good condition. With the full-face mask I use, I wash my cushion s...

CAsleep - Your post was very moving. Your frustration with your situation is clear. There has been some great advice for you in the replies, and I hope that a few of my thoughts and experiences might also be helpful to you and others who are trying to adjust to using xPAP. Re: Newbie - experience so far

Gekko, I also found myself ditching my mask in the middle of the night for my first several weeks on CPAP. Sometimes, I wouldn't remember doing it. In my case, I think my OSA is partly due to airw...

Re: Think I Should be MAD???????

How frustrating. I've discovered the hard way that not all DMEs are equal when it comes to service, attitude, or any of the other factors that make it easier to be a customer. Other members might know the answer to this, but I wonder if it would be possible/appropriate for your doctor to be specific...

Re: CPAP or UPP?

I concur - giving CPAP a try before committing to surgery is wise. Surgery can sometimes be effective, but any surgery carries risks. If there's an effective way to treat your sleep disorder without taking those risks, you might as well start there. As far as I know, the biggest risk with using a CP...
