Re: New here - looking for info for my husband
I am a new user myself - I have severe sleep apnea of 82 OSA's / hr and my O2 drops to 70% during the night. I have been on therapy for a week now, and the machine is ultra quiet, my wife doesn't even hear it. I do feel different so I am probably one of those who's therapy is going to take longer fo...

Re: Explanation of Data
Thanks for the info...my sleep test numbers as I know them were 82 apneas per hr. with an avg length of apnea at 1:00 minute in duration. As far as how I feel...I do feel different, but not fully rested. From the forums here and from my Dr, I have heard of the term 'Sleep Debt', so I am assuming tha...

Re: O-rings for Swift Fx?
can u explain the purpose of the O-Ring? I am new to this and I use the fx and like it very much for its comfort! I did notice that the medium was a little tights for me, so I switch to the small and it fits perfect.

Re: Encouraged
believe me, I started off on this journey extremely discouraged....changed Drs. and now I feel like I can do this! Having a Doctor that is willing to listen, makes a huge difference. He seemed to know right off the bat, what machine and mask/nasal pillow to use after listening to my tirades with the...

It seems the machine is working, and I have gone from a 82 apneas / hr with an avg of 71% Oxygen level to < 10 apneas with a 91% Oxygen level and sleeping through the night except for the second night when apparantly the nasal mas...

Re: ResMed S9 AutoSet mode makes me tired
I am interested in knowing if this is typical or not! I just got my resmed vpap 25, and after 2 days of using it, I feel more tired than before. Not sure if this is an indication that I am finally sleeping and now my body has to recover from yrs of oxygen deprived sleep.

How long til one feels rested?
After years of sleep apnea and feeling lethargic all the time, I recently received my first machine. Now I am wondering how long on average might it take for my body to feel rested?

CPAP or UPP?
OK, I am a newbie who is constantly exhausted and have recently had a sleep study with the results of 82 apneas/hr. My ENT says surgery (upp) since my airway is crowded with tonsils and long palette.
